alternate option. PJ saying it's all love is an indication that he's going to Philly. Harden still stays. but Russ + Tucker + 3 2021 FRP (Detroit, Our Swap and Portland) for Ben Simmons, Shake Milton and Thybulle works financially after the Al Horford trade. . Harden/ Shake Eric / McLeMore Thybulle / Nwaba/ Brown Simmons/ House Wood / Cousins Morey to Philly is an unspoken part of this trade. Philly probably would want to keep Thybulle in said deal and would want to swap him out for Mike Scott, which is also fine. Harden/ Shake Eric / McLeMore House / Nwaba/ Brown Simmons/ Scott Wood / Cousins Philly with thybulle would look like this. Russ Curry/ Green Thybulle Harris / Tucker Embiid That's a very well balanced team and Harris belongs at that the 4 and so does Simmons. Daryl knows this. Playing with Simmons/Harris/Embiid in a line up is going to limit their potential.
Houston In: Aaron Gordon, Derrick Rose Orlando In: Westbrook Detroit In: Fultz, Pick Going back to this, I like it because I almost consider Rose to be a less athletic, but better shooting Westbrook. He’s already made the transition from “center of the offense” to role playing playmaker, which I think will work well alongside Eric Gordon with the 2nd unit. Aaron Gordon is growing in my mind as a must have. Theres potential for elite 4-5 PnRs, and it really adds athleticism to the front court and balances out our playmaking across the lineup with Harden.
Washington: Paul George, House, Nwaba 1st from clippers Houston: Wall, Bryant, Brown Clippers: Westbrook, Mclemore Sign Reggie Jackson & Roberson Wall/Reggie Harden/Gordon Brown/Roberson Wood/Tucker Boogie/Bryant
tpizzzle is Troy Payne commented with Houston emojis with fingers crossed. PJ is on his stories. https://www.instagram.com/pjtucker/
Oh it's all theoretical nonsense that has less than a 1% chance of happening. Harden and PJ extending is clearly the likely outcome to any of this. PJ will be extended or traded though if I had to guess. Same with James. They saw last year with MDA in a lame duck season what it equated to and that's an incredibly messy offseason. They need to get their ducks in a row.
WB to Philly is Jergens-and-Kleenex stuff on our part, I think. Morey is all about efficiency and WB ain't that.
That would be $41M incoming salary with only $13.5M outgoing for the NYK. They don't have that much cap space.
I'm seeing $73 million on the books. $109 million is the cap. that's a $27.5M difference with $36M in remaining cap. This trade would actually allow them to take on another $8.5 M more without sending out anyone else. Am I missing a signing? https://tradenba.com/trade-machine has the numbers. I'm okay with being seen as a bit overly optimistic but my math is usually pretty solid. edit: they are missing a few signings which would still allow the room or close to it (if they guarantee Spellman and Evans). They'd need a few hundred thousand to make it work out. Not difficult. Also not happening, this is the random trade thread after all. https://www.spotrac.com/nba/new-york-knicks/cap/ Payton at $5M Spellman $2M Evans at $2M
Where do you see this? I'm posting sheets that show over $30 Million. You're just responding by saying those numbers are wrong without showing me otherwise. They renounced Portis and Ellington. They brought in Noel at $5, Austin at $3, Payton at $5, Burks at $6. I'm just not seeing where you are getting this number and I'd love to see what i'm missing. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/30349438/new-york-knicks-create-40m-cap-space-roster-purge I finally found something that said $18M. https://sports.yahoo.com/knicks-feel-less-inclined-trade-045856373.html @aelliott Those charts just weren't accurate and up to date. The trade machines are behind.
They currently have $66.8 under contract, they've spent $15.2 on Free Agents/trades ( Davis, Noel, Payton, Rivers, Evans and Spellman). Additionally they have $9.4M in dead money + an $889K Incomplete roster charge. EDIT: Sorry, forgot the link: https://www.spotrac.com/nba/new-york-knicks/cap/
The bigger issue is that if you believe the NY Post (not sure that we should), then the Knicks are cooling on the idea of pursuing WB or Oladipo. Sounds like they may just suck it up this year and go all in next year when there's a better FA class. Of course there will also be tons of teams with FA money next year so I'm not sure how successful that plan would be. We've already seen this show from the Knicks a couple of times when they had tons of money and no takers. https://nypost.com/2020/11/23/knicks-cooling-off-on-victor-oladipo-russell-westbrook-possibility/
