assume Christian wood equals to caplea, we still need to upgrade small forward and power forward. Giving up Ariza is quite a stupid trade except Tilman doesn't have money. I suggest to get cousins. Lakers has Gasol now which is very strong. if no money, I suggest to get back Kenneth Faried

I keep waiting for the Harden and Westbrook trades. I know that being patient is the smart thing to do, but I am not smart. I am too anxious to see what the deal(s) will be! Giterdun, Stone!

PJ Tucker + Detroit 2021 FRP for Matisse Thybulle.

Eric Gordon + Portland 2021 FRP + Houston FRP 2021 for Myles Turner

we empty out all of our FRP for next year but get guys who are young and better than most of the guys who will be drafted in the lottery. Additionally with those trades the Rockets save about $5M against the cap freeing up some moves later in the season. Flexibility is king.

    Russ
    Harden / McLeMore
    Thybulle / Brown/Nwaba
    Wood /House/Tate
    Turner

We would still need to pick up a back up point guard and maybe Boogie Cousins. Also sign the GOAT Bruno.

    Russ/Zhaire Smith
    Harden/McLeMore
    Thybulle/Brown/Nwaba
    Wood/House/Tate
    Turner/Cousins/ Bruno

    Hou In: Lowry, Aaron Gordon
    Orlando In: Westbrook, Eric Gordon
Toronto In: Fournier, Fultz, 2021 Detroit 1st, Orlando 2021 1st (lotto protected)

Both Fournier and Fultz expire next season, so Toronto keeps its precious cap space for Giannas. They also get 2 picks.

Orlando gets 2 guards that are better than anyone they have. Westbrook will make the all-star team, and pairs well with Vucevic.

Houston gets a better fit next to Harden in Lowry, and an upgrade in Gordon. They also set themselves up to be a player for Kawhi or Paul George in free agency next year. We also open up an additional $8 million in space to use our mid level exception.

    Houston In: Aaron Gordon, Fournier
    Orlando In: Westbrook

No picks to Orlando if I’m Houston. Need those picks to potentially dump Eric Gordon to open up max space next summer. Houston opens up another $4 million in space under the apron.

Might have to attach a pick, but I wouldn’t offer them a 1st rounder. Two future 2nds would be okay with me.

It’s too bad that Ujiri has outsmarted us by obtaining Baynes. It’s not Stone’s fault. No more money and uncertainty will do that. I think Dedmon will be okay. I like Giles as a backup PF, if he’s fit. We need a PG too.

Smart, but I don’t think that’s going to be appealing to Orlando.

    Another option:

    Houston In: Aaron Gordon, Fournier
    Orlando In: Westbrook

Orlando is stuck with the injured but talented Issac. They need picks. RW might explode and bring some excitement there, but that won’t be enough imo.

Then they remain in basketball purgatory.

I think if we can show Westbrook playing well with a stretch 5, theres a chance Orlando bites. Westbrook-Vucevic could be a pretty good fit.

thanks. Front office definitely has its work cut out for them. We’ve got at least 3 holes to fill IMO. Keeping Harden and not being competitive isn’t an option, and that’s what we are right now. Got to do something.

Yes indeed. Woj or Shams mentioned Russ for Aaron Gordon proposal from the Rockets. It didn't gain any traction.

yeah. I don’t know if anything is close with Westbrook, other than maybe the Wall swap, which I don’t like. If he starts out on fire though, I could see the market open up.
