    Only works if Rockets can bring in Ben Simmons (and Matisse Thybulle) in a Russ trade first IMO.

    Yes, i think so, i suppose tilman n his new coaching staff are knitting a young cheap rockets team by washing off those elite but expensive ones…say RoCo.

    Cousins is cheap now, Tilman should pick him asap. We will have big 3.

    The defence is strong. We can also ask rondo and IT to join.

    I keep saying to myself "IF we get Tatum, I could live with that". (Also, no lie: he is a friend of the family. Most of my aunts, uncles, cousins live in STL. His dad & my cousin played HS ball together. I would be first in line to get that jersey.. lol)

    guys i just had a huge galaxy brain idea.

    we widen the trade for Covington where we still get Ariza but add Oubre.

    The trade cannot be complete until after the draft pick due to Stepien but Oubre is apparently available for a FRP.

    So

    Pick #16 goes to us and Oubre.

    2021 pick goes to OKC (the kings of hoarding). Ariza goes to OKC ( who is bought out to sign with us at the lower level MLE for 3 years (I'm sorry deal).

    Covington still goes to Portland.

    I don't see any reason this cannot happen.

    Like the idea, but questions:

    If Ariza goes to Thunder, why is he still on your starting roster?

    What if Ariza is a Harden requirement?

    And 2021 FRP is worth more than 2020 16th overall pick IMO.

    He never joined the Rockets so it's not illegal just a beautiful circumvention of the CBA. In my idea Stone got to speak to him on the phone following the trade and let him know the plan.

    So use MLE on Ariza instead of center?
