Dipo and Wall play iso heavy with Rockets only.

They did not have those roles with their previous teams when they were All Stars, nor will they be tasked with those responsibilities especially to the extent they have been with Rockets on their next team IMO.

Dipo would be 3rd fiddle to Jokic and Murray.

Rockets get John Collins while getting rid of an underperforming Oladipo
Nuggets get a more motivated former all-star to reinforce their lineup
Hawks get a first round pick and a starter for Collins
Cavaliers get a good bench player for a worthless Drummond
Raptors get Drummond while giving up no picks

Dipo 3rd fiddle to Murray/Jokic......good luck with that. What fiddle is he here in Houston?

Whichever, he looks terrible. I don’t think Silas is just letting him go iso, what happened to all that ball movement
PnR I heard about in a Silas offense? How Dallas was so efficient last season running team ball.

    I like this one!!

Would have loved Boucher instead of Baynes and Nuggets may have to give up FRP to Hawks.

So Hawks would get Rockets FRP for John Collins, Nuggets FRP to take Gary Harris.

Dipo is #1B on the Rockets, look at his usage compared to Wood.

Silas has doubled down on Dipo because he put his neck on the line to acquire him over Ben Simmons.

Silas beautiful offense has been nowhere to be seen even though the Harden haters are trying gaslight CF that there has been more ball movement compared to Harden era.

That Rockets are bottom of NBA in offensive rating, assists and rebounding tells a much different story.

I looked at the numbers and stand corrected.

@saleem Dipo is just bad. You are correct.

    per NBA.com

    Player (20/21)..............freq.............ppp................NBA percentile
    PnR (Roll-man)

    Dipo (Indiana):.............32.8%...........0.78......................33.6
    Dipo (Houston):...........37.7%............0.87......................47.2

    Player (20/21)................freq.............ppp...............NBA percentile
    Isolation

    Dipo (Indiana):................5.5%............1.00.....................68.0
    Dipo (Houston):..............10.5%...........0.76....................23.5

How anyone thinks Dipo brings us a first round pick is nuts. Need to get back on meds.

And yes Wall is equally as bad:
    Iso: 22.3% freq...................1.05 ppp...............74.4 (NBA percentile)
    Roll-man: 36.4% freq.........0.83 ppp...............39.2 (NBA percentile)

Notice others in PnR as roll-man:
    Mason Jones: 24.8% freq......1.00 ppp..........93.1 (NBA percentile)
    Sterling Brown: 10.8% freq.....1.05 ppp.........84.8 (NBA percentile)
    Eric Gordon: 30.7% freq.........1.11 ppp..........91.7 (NBA percentile)
    James Harden: 29.4% freq....1.19 ppp..........95.9 (NBA percentile).....w/Houston

I’m just waiting for the March 25th date to clear some of the clutter. Then Mason and others get a real look.

Draft Cade Cunningham/ Kispert (Klay Thompson on offense) / and Roko Prkacin.

Don't believe team's like DEN, ORL, ATL, CLE, TOR, are willing to give up much for VO. He isn't going to re-sign in any of those markets. Thus most of these proposed blockbuster trades don't work with him involved. Dude wants to get paid and be a recording artist. ATL maybe.

Still believe NYK is going to be the landing spot. Third team needed but a return of Noel and Knox fits the future blue print. Noel was a 6th overall pick. Like most lottery picks he had illusions of grandeur. He use to drive Carlisle mad with hero ball when he was with the Mavs. Plus he was made of glass.
At 26 he seems to have accepted his role as a NBA starter, not much more. What he is, is a solid rebounder and rim protector. Again at 26 hopefully past his growing pains and illusions of being all-world. All these draft picks we are accumulating do not guarantee success. Noel is a solid add to Woods.
Heck at the right price I'd re-sign Cousins. Have him play 14-18 minutes a game, when needed. Come in hit a shot or two, grab a rebound, and knock some opposing fool on his ass.

Would need a third team to have contract #s add up to VOs We have other bodies to throw in to interest other teams. House & Mclemore come to mind. Would rather use Tucker in a smaller trade with PHI ( Bradley ) or Boston ( Robert Williams )

    Plus sign Brown and Nwaba.

Should we package Tate with Gordon / Wall to help offset age and contract OR with Oladipo to increase the return at his near max price point? Do we use Tate or FRP to make something happen? I like Tate but his value is really high at the moment, being on a nothing contract & on the rookie of the year ballot. Maybe he helps us long term as the “filler” that made it all happen OR is he untouchable? Wood’s value is high, too. They didn’t cost us anything, and both are not adding to anything that is already here. There skills help every team around league.

Are you referring to Drummond? He has no trade value. He fetched Detroit only a second rounder last season and now Cleveland is in talks to buy him out. Better get a good 7th man in Norman Powell than nothing.

    Houston trades: Dipo/EG/Exum/McLemore
    Detroit trades: Griffin/Grant

    ....or even better....

    Houston trades: Dipo/EG/Exum/McLemore/House
    Detroit trades: Griffin/Grant/Hayes

Detroit pays the price to move Blake. The cost is Grant or Grant/Killian. Grant has had a breakout year this year, and much like Wood, is on a value contract for a player producing at that level.

Above all else, this gives you something real and tangible to show for trading Harden: Jerami Grant. The picks/swaps are cool and all, but flipping those pieces (Dipo/Exum) into an exceptional talent like Grant that’s actually useful is precisely the type of move a team in transition like this needs right now. Even better if you can get them to add Killian.

From there, you have one of two options with Blake:

#1) Hang onto his contract and have $39M coming off of the books next year. That or wait until he’s ready to accept a team-friendly buyout.

#2) Be predators. There are plenty of either outright bad or trending in that direction, poor contracts with multiple years, in which we might be able to entice a team to swap trash-for-trash contracts. Players like Love, Horford, Adams, D-Russell, Gallo, etc all have an extra year these teams might want to avoid (for various reasons). A scenario in which we absorb that extra year could lead to us getting another asset for our troubles, or at the very least, flipping a washed Blake into something useful.

I realize either trade probably makes us weaker in the short-term, but I don’t care. This season is getting away from us. We seem to be getting worse with each game. Starting to dread game nights. It’s time to play the long game: get a high pick this year, turn Dipo/Exum into something useful, move the DM era complementary pieces, and plan on coming back stronger next year.

A new core of Wall/Wood/Grant at 100% + Killian/Tate/MPJ/Mason + a ton of draft capital is a rebuild I can believe in. And one that might be accelerated, if we play our cards right.

Pistons not trading their very best players in Jerami Grant AND Killian Hayes.

Probably not, though there were reports the Pistons were willing to attach younger players to make the Griffin dump more palpable. And let’s be honest, describing Killian as one of their best players is a tremendous reach. One of their better assets? Sure. That’s different.

In any event, I would do the first trade without Killian in a heartbeat. Like I said: get something useful for Dipo/Exum, move the DM era complimentary pieces, get a high draft pick and come back strong next year with an actual core and young talent in the pipeline (between assets in house along with all of the acquired draft picks).

I think you're right and Pistons will package young players to dump Blake like Doumbouya, Smith, Wright, Mykhailiuk but thinking not their core group of Grant, Hayes, Bey, Stewart.

    I wish!!!!

    Wall
    EGo
    Tate
    Grant
    Wood

*FYI - Jerami Grant just put up a 43 burger tonight.

Pistons absolutely love him and do not miss passing on Wood in favor of Jerami, at all.
