There are some underrated defenders on the Knicks. While it makes no sense for Knicks to gut their entire core for Russ trade, finding these gems that will fit Rockets system plus multiple Knicks FRP is more realistic.

NYK: Russ Westbrook, Danuel House, Ben McLemore
PHI: Victor Oladipo, RJ Barrett, Dennis Smith
IND: Eric Gordon, Bobby Portis, Elfrid Payton, Wayne Ellington + 8th pick (NYK), Rockets FRP
HOU: Ben Simmons, Myles Turner, Matisse Thybulle, Frank Ntilikina, Doug McDermott + Knicks SRP + 76ers SRP

    6'5 Harden/6'4 Ntilikina (22)
    6'5 Thybulle (23)/6'5 Nwaba (28)
    6'7 RoCo/6'7 McDermott (28)
    6'10 Simmons (24)
    6'11 Turner (24)/6'5 PJ

Rockets become longer and more balanced offensively. Defensively this team is LOCKDOWN.

And only Harden and PJ over 30 now.

MLE: 6'8 Josh Jackson (23) or 6'10 Harry Giles (22)

I actually saw a trade someone made up that had us sending them EG for Dwight Powell and Seth Curry. I would be fine with that. Gets us some new blood and then it also brings in some guys Silas is familiar with. I’m not trading them Covington though.

Seth Curry would be an ideal fit next to Harden.

But no way at the expense of RoCo.

    Rubio
    Harden / Ben MC
    Oubre / EGo
    RoCo/ House
    PJ

Frees up 10 million in Room to play with and gives us a late draft pick. Pick #17.

Oubre is close with Harden. Rubio is the perfect PG next to Harden.

Use the NT MLE to sign Wood. Draft BPA. Sign a PG to back up RR.

    Rubio
    Harden / BEn Mc
    Oubre / Ego
    RoCo / House
    Wood / PJ

Same situation, except we get more picks and the Suns keep Booker.

Ok I’m seeing rumors now that the Rockets are in talks with Philly for Horford and Thybulle and the Pacers, Hornets, and Knicks are in play for WB:

a deal I would love to see happen:

    HOU: Turner, Oladipo, Thybulle, Horford
    76ers: Tucker and Gordon
    IND: Westbrook and House?

Look. The amount of teams willing to trade for Russ that wouldn’t be a complete disaster for us are probably limited.
And I would limit that to
    1) Knicks
    2) Hornets
    3) Pistons

Stone has got his work cut out for him.

    1) For Knicks, I would insist on including Mitchell Robinson, this years pick, next years pick and one of their point guards. If they’re not willing to include those then give them an adamant no and see if they’re willing to pass on the only shot they have of getting an all star to the Garden

    2) For the Hornets, Rozier + Devonte Graham + Zeller + Pick. Again, not sure they’d do it but they like the Knicks are ins desperate need of life for the fans and Jumpman

    3) Pistons. I have no idea but I feel like they have more patience to be lifeless and only assets they have are future assets which probably isn’t a good idea to give up for Russ unless Griffin is healthy and playing with them and not us and then I don’t even know how it would work. This one isn’t likely

CJ and Collins feels like a steal, CJ is perfect guard next to Harden and Collins is a young athletic big with a ton of potential.
Somehow pull Ibaka and that’s a squad

Hield Bogdon Holmes and a First.

    Brogdon or Dipo and Turner.

    Rubio Oubre #10

    Mitch Frank Knox #8

These aren't random ideas. This is his value. I'm glad the media is agreeing with me. I'm pretty good at assessing this kind of stuff and it's been something I've loved to do my whole life dating back to Ken Griffey JR. 64.
