The Rockets need to Find a Young Bam Adebayo. Energy and Hustle helps the Team even more. Similar to JaeSean Tate.

Bamba sucks. He doesn't play with heart.

Jaxon Hayes isn't getting enough minutes and would do great with Wall. Gordon might help New Orleans make the playoffs.

I think we can do both content and rebuild. If we get too young there is a possibility of not being able to maintain the talent that we develop when they mature. (OKC & Harden). I want this coach and team to always win because it becomes natural when it happens regularly. IMO, if we put strong successful 2 way players in front of the talented youth than development happens faster in a positive cultural. I like the playoffs and want to always be a part of them so let’s do now & later.

the owner needs to make as much money as he can at all times, too.

Only been in NBA for 3 seasons.

Wood did not figure things out until his 5th (6th?) season.

I think Atl says no without a pick or 2 added. As an aside, I think Huerter is, essentially, Tyler Herro without the hype. I was really hoping the James trade was a 3 way with Simmons going to Atlanta for pieces including Huerter

Do not disagree with your stated goal, more young talent.

But Rockets are capable of rebuilding AND contending at same time.

Wall, Dipo, EGo, Wood and the HOUnds are too talented not to contend even if not on championship contention level.

Wood is your roller at the 5.

He is 80% at the rim.

A backup roller at the 5 is needed, yes.

As for Bamba - he may not be as energetic as Capela but his skillset is actually a better fit for our 5 Out offense. So much so that he could actually be played with Wood.

Bamba situation is strange because he has logged so few minutes but whenever he's played he has been super efficient.

His advanced analytics are eye poppingly good.

    per 36 minutes THIS season:

    26 points, 16 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, 33% 3P

    according to basketball-reference.com

    per 36min..

    18'-19'.... 13.7 pts.... 11 trb.... 1.8 ast.... 3.0 blk
    19'-20'.... 13.6 pts.... 12.4 trb.... 1.7 ast.... 3.5 blk
    20'-21'.... 26.8 pts.... 16.1 trb.... 1.5 ast.... 2.3 blk

    lol.... what. the. f*ck.

why isnt this guy a prioriy? he can back up woods, get mentored by boogie and play 15-20+ minutes a night AND only 22. sounds like a steal to me

who are those minutes against? How many times does he get a long run on the court? Asking because I have no idea.

Per 36 is a valid metric.

I'm sure he is playing against other NBA players.

This is why I and others on CF have been championing a trade for Bamba.

I wanted him since he was drafted because I thought he would complement Clint.

Want him even more now that we have Wood.

Olidipo for Rubio and Naz Reid.

Rubio helps run the team as a backup and spot fill in which is a big need for us. Naz Reid is a perfect 5-out big, perfect PJ replacement long term.

Dipo added to Russell and KAT is version of a Big 3-lite.

Seems win-win IF you can convince Dipo to re-sign with MIN.

At running a team like a true floor general? imo, no.

    Thoughts on Naz?

Sure, Naz would be great get. But not for Dipo.

But why would Rosas give up on him so early.

I think he could play alongside KAT if not playing 5 Out offense.

Because he gets Dipo to build a big 3 -AND/OR- gets rid of Rubios contract even if Dipo leaves. That's how deals are done, give up something good to get something as good if not better.
