It appears with the new season right around the corner and several random trade threads popping up we need to start this up for 2020-2021
Man...I hate this...Harden might want out cause he didn’t get Lue or Lucas and Westbrook might follow. It’s going to be a long and difficult process coming back from all that, especially with Tilman as owner. I keep seeing Phoenix or 76ers as potential trade partners for Harden. I see Knicks, Heat, and Clippers as potential trade partners for Westbrook.
I’m not trying to start a thread just on that. Everyone should post random ass trades here. Knicks Receive: Russell Westbrook Rockets Receive: RJ Barrett, Dennis Smith Jr., Elfrid Payton, Wayne Ellington, Taj Gibson, and 2020 first-round pick.
BOS: Paul George, Pat Beverley IND: Gordon Hayward, Al-Farouq Aminu LAC: Russ Westbrook, Danuel House ORL: Marcus Smart, Kelly Olynyk, Landry Shamet + Rockets FRP MIA: Victor Oladipo, Ben McLemore HOU: Aaron Gordon, Tyler Herro, Myles Turner, Kendrick Nunn 6'5 Harden/6'2 Nunn (25) 6'5 Herro (20)/EGo 6'7 RoCo/Nwaba 6'8 AG (25)/PJ 6'11 Turner (24)/6'10 Giles (23) - MLE @treyk3 - got you Turner
Can we sign Demarcus Cousins? That alone would improve last years team. Plus he can hit some shots occasionally.
NYK: Russ Westbrook, Doug McDermott MIA: Victor Oladipo, Ben McLemore ORL: Myles Turner, Kevin Knox, Dennis Smith IND: Julius Randle, Kelly Olynyk, Danuel House, Elfrid Payton HOU: Aaron Gordon, Tyler Herro, Bobby Portis, Mo Bamba 6'5 Harden/6'2 Nunn (25) 6'5 Herro (20)/6'3 EGo 6'7 RoCo/6'5 Nwaba 6'8 AG (25)/6'5 PJ 6'10 Portis (25)/7'0 Bamba (22)
definitely realistic. Noel Baynes Cousins Portis all will be available for the Tilman MLE (5.7ish annually and no hard cap)

Fwiw, not that i think the Rockets can/will get him. I would bet the Nets are one of the teams after him, they have some young players to trade to NOLA and rumors had them interested in Beal, Holiday should cost less in terms of assets and money, and he's also a better fit between Irving and Durant i'd say. Other then them i don't know, probably Miami.
D Rock is on to something here: Vet min options: 6'8 Josh Jackson (fingers crossed), 6'8 Jeff Green, 6'9 Bruno Caboclo, 6'7 Ryan Broekhoff, 6'9 Jonah Bolden, 6'6 Justin Anderson, 6'6 Theo Pinson, 6'4 Tyler Johnson This is where our priority should be. We need to be looking and signing team friendly contracts with players that obviously obtainable even if a little above the minimum. Putting active players around 2 MVP talents is not only smart but doable. We don’t need someone else wanting the ball and having any options. Grateful for the opportunity and ready to help is the goal.
With Morey and MDA out, Rockets have an opportunity to be much more aggressive developing the young undrafted talent they identify and sign. That means a development staff that is more than just Lucas and Macha. The teams who have the best player development programs have at least 6 development coaches and even a team psychologist. Hire Shane Battier first, he leads the very best player development (and analytics) program in the NBA for the Miami Heat.
The Hawks insider said "We're getting close to a lot of blockbuster deals...i have major news right now but the CBA is blocking everything"
Managed to grab this Zach Lowe quote too (Holiday related): "The bidding for Holiday and Beal figures to center on Denver, Golden State, and Brooklyn — and to some extent Atlanta, Miami, and Dallas. The Hawks might try nabbing Holiday using their No. 6 pick — which they would be open to trading for veteran help, per several sources — but I don’t see that alone getting it done. Would they attach one of their young wings?" Also lol, an Hawks fan actually wants his team to be the third ina trade between Phila and Nola, and take back Tobias freaking Harris when they already have Collins, Hunter, Reddish...wtf is that guy smoking? Lol
Man, I would totally be down if the Rockets could pull this one off: HOU: JJ Reddick and Jrue Holiday NOP: Westbrook
How about this one: NOP: Markelle Fultz, Eric Gordon + Magic FRP + Rockets FRP ORL: Russ Westbrook, Austin Rivers (opt in) HOU: Jrue Holiday, Aaron Gordon, Jonathan Isaac*, Jaxson Hayes 6'4 Jrue 6'5 Beard 6'7 RoCo 6'8 AG (25) 6'11 Hayes (20) *6'11 Isaac (23) injured for season but has DPOY potential playing positions 3-5.
