Rafael Stone and Eli Witus need to get to work. Need to multi-task, hire head coach AND work on trades/sign some talent. Rockets fans need a signing or trade to scrub the taste of **** we've all had to digest recently.
Before posters on here bust their nut over Christian Wood just now implying he won’t be back in Detroit: 1) We don’t have money to offer him. He will not take that big of a discount 2) We will not sign and trade for him, most teams have way more to offer, and Detroit would rather not take back our contracts 3) Houston is our team. Not his. It is likely not his number 1 preferred destination
Would y’all make this trade? Just read an article suggesting it’s a possibility: HOU: Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid PHI: Covington, Westbrook, and Gordon
It does pass the Nba Analyzer on SI, I think its a great trade tbh. Would Harden be down thou? Why would sixers want ben simmons and westbrook thou?
Yeah my understanding is that if the Rockets trade Westbrook, Harden will ask for a trade. My thoughts exactly about Westbrook and Simmons together. Neither of them have a jump shot so unless each of them becomes Rondo 2020, I don’t see the fit.
Looking at some Eric Gordon trades: HOU: Dwight Powell and Seth Curry DAL: Eric Gordon or HOU: James Johnson MIN: Eric Gordon or HOU: Larry Nance Jr and Cedi Osman CLE: Eric Gordon I would prefer a move for Myles Turner but I’m not sure the Pacers would take that straight up. The Rockets would either have to throw in a draft pick or Daniel House most likely.
Eric Gordon, Pj Tucker, and D.House for James Johnson, Josh Okgie, Naz Reid #17, #33 Russell Westbrook and Robert Covington for Miles Turner, Malcom Brodgen, Jermey Lamb, McDermott https://tradenba.com/trades/wQOiv86XB Rockets get some playing room. These trade are how you get some cap, picks, and still have the team being competive. James Johnson and Mcdermott is nearly 20 mi off the cap. Lamb is your Gordon replacement. Turner and Malcom fit better with Harden. At least if Harden demands a trade you are setting yourself up with a younger flexible team with expiring's, affordable players, and picks. Indiana is one team i can see taking on westbrook if you include Covington.
Oladipo didn't flourish until he moved from the shadow of Westbrook's ballhoggery in OKC. Indiana needs to determine what they have in Oladipo in the last year of his contract. Can he recover and play into his former value? Certainly not with Westbrook, also showing signs of breakdown. I don't think Indiana would trade for Westbrook unless, maybe Oladipo was sent out. Even then, dunno.
Andre Drummond will not extend with Cavs. Might be an interesting trade option for Rockets. Drummond can do everything that Clint can do on offense and more (able to put ball on floor and create his own shot, shoot 3ball). Drummond is also much more disruptive defender (more blocks, more steals, more deflections) and a better rebounder.
If u should get Drummond that’s a super nice addition. But if he’s going for league minimum type money. Warriors/Lakers are a much better option for him
Not league min if trading for him. Need about 21M in salary for trade. CLE: Eric Gordon, Luc Mbah a Moute, Danuel House HOU: Andre Drummond Westbrook Harden RoCo PJ Drummond
