Yeah, a poster here actually had a convo with him last year and he said He'd love to be a Rocket. Would be nice but we don't have the means to get it done. Hopefully he stays in Portland long enough for Morey to scrounge up some more assets on the cheap.

The day we got Harden this whole franchise changed. No Offense to Martin, Lin, Asik or Parsons, but who says to themselves boy i'm gonna play with Lin or Parsons and have success? no one. It's Harden thats the biggest draw card.

Portland reportedly wants a center back for Aldridge, asking for Noah from Chicago. I wonder if there's a way Morey can slip them Asik instead of Noah and make up the value difference in picks or a young PF for Aldridge.

If we don't get Dwight you cant bet Morey will go out for Aldridge even if it means parting with Asik and Parsons.

Aldridge's offense would complement Dwight's defense very nicely. He also has a much higher basketball iq than Josh Smith.

I do wonder if they would've indulged a Thomas Robinson + Asik + maybe some picks for Aldridge trade..if we didn't already give them Robinson for their 2nd round picks.

That Ralphb guy says Joakim Noah is the hang up between a Chicago/Portland deal. If we land Dwight, then Asik becomes available who is just as good as Noah, but younger and costs less.

If there's some truth to this guy then an Asik, T. Jones, 2 1sts, and 2nds package might do it.

No doubt. Can't believe we got Harden from the Thunder for what we did. In hindsight, that trade looks great for us now, and if we win a ring (or two, or three...) that trade might go down as the NBA's version of the Herschel Walker trade...

They do want a defensive 5. But it is improbable that we get a deal done with Portland for LMA. But if we did.....

I think it's a possibility. Asik with Royce white plus our 1st and maybe return their 2nd picks back might be enough. It would be something that might happen closer to the trade deadline after they have covered all of their bases and found nothing better. But I think Asik is that valuable that he might be a big part of a deal that might work.

They don't need or want Lin but if DMo or Tjones exploded this coming season they might consider a deal with us. They wanted Joakim Noah but that ain't happening and the way Asik finished the season they might get Portland to do a deal after they see there isn't anything better on the market.

If Thomas Rbinson explodes over there than it is even more of a possibility. I love LMA's game and think it is a much better fit than Howard and even compliments Howard with his Midrange game. Similar to PPat complimenting Asik. Maybe by the trade deadline this becomes a possibility.

Bulls Rejecting LaMarcus Aldridge's Agency Desire For Trade

The Bulls are rebuffing attempts by LaMarcus Aldridge's agency to bring the Portland Trail Blazers' star in a trade to Chicago, according to sources.

Aldridge shares the same agency as Derrick Rose.

The Bulls are unwilling to discuss a trade centering on Joakim Noah and Jimmy Butler for Aldridge.

Aldridge denied last week that he requested a trade from the Blazers.

We might not have Asik by the trade deadline because he might be dealt to Atlanta for SSmith right after Dwights decision.

Trading a player like Aldridge will always yield a much better return than having Asik as the main piece. LMA is a foundational player. You either get a different one in return, or you get a 'just add water' rebuild-in-a-box package. We gave ours up to OKC. We no longer have the pieces to get it done.

The longer LMA is on the Blazers, the better our (tiny) chances are. Morey can find gem after gem in the bargain bin and flip them for even better assets.

Aldridge for Asik and filler would be far superior to J. Smith though we would miss Smith's D and Monster dunks.

Bulls have a point here. Butler is one of the best defenders in the league and Noah is a machine on the boards and a monster defender.
