Random Drug Tests for Welfare Recipients

    If the above chart is correct, only $60,000 worth of benefits for 2% of welfare recipients? Assuming those 2% are representative of the impoverished, that means they give out ~$3mil in benefits each year?

    So even if 100% of the people are denied welfare, the state still loses $175 mil a year just to screw poor people...

    I agree with you, but those figures don't look accurate to me. Did you look for a source? This is what I was able to find, from back in August:

    My interpretation is that it's the program as a whole, not the drug testing that costs $178MM

    I can't stand going into Wal Mart and while standing at the checkout line some clown is paying for good stuff with her Lone Star card eating better than me. And what they can't afford on their Lone Star card they just put the rest on their credit card.

    Things won't change in this country until people start starving to death.

    we should just take every tenth welfare recipient and turn them into soylent green. pro-life? Not if it's for a welfare recipient. Or criminal. Or...non-American.
