According to this: http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/gamecenter/live/NFL_20051127_STL@HOU Seth Wand is 1-1 for 16 yards? Is that right? How did that happen?
It actually probably has EVERYTHING to do with the Rams being horrible... but their ineptitude has allowed Texans to do what most average teams do on a game-by-game basis... form a pocket for the QB, and allow him to throw. After the protection is given, everything else is up to your QB and WR... and Carr has delivered the ball with accuracy and power, and more than once has had the opportunity to look at multiple recievers on one play... things that he hasn't had a chance to show all year. This line still can't block an average defense... but its good to see that our skills players can take advantage of a below average defense if they get the o-line protection.
It's good to see the offense moving the ball, but were playing against like a college defense in the Rams. Well any college defense besides USC, because they can beat the Texans right?
Umm, All I meant was if he was going to make an ignorant comment like that why do we even bother talking about the Rockets, since they are playing bad right now. Believe it or not but there are some fans that aren't fair weathered, and care about their teams no matter how bad they are doing.
argh Texans winning 4 teams right now with 1 more win then us. If we win today and all of theme lose its a 5 way tie
It' impossible for that to happen. Four of the 2-8 win teams are playing each other. New Orleans @ New York Jets San Francisco @ Tennessee
The clock doesn't stop in the 1st and 3rd quarters on out-of-bounds plays... otherwise, games would be 5 hours long.
One good thing about having such an inept o-line... the Texans are experts at picking up the 2-3 yard pass gain, which helps them immensly on the 3rd and short situation.
Is it me . .. or is far too many LINEMEN running down Stephen Davis from behind I am glad we have Dominic Davis Rocket River
I think there is a little piece in all of us, that says, I hope they play well, but if they lose I'm certainly not sad about it. I don't think that is a fair weather fan. It's human nature. Everybody wants the team to have fun, and to win, but we all know a good draft pick can change your fortune. Wanting that is ok. It's no different than rooting for a win.
On a side note, I think this is the 3rd or 4th TD pac-man has gotten, but was called back on a penalty. He's actually been a decent draft pick for Titans in the return game. But still needs some work at db.
Well, for all of you rooting for the loss... there is still hope. Some bone-headed plays by Bell and Smith on this drive.
