I think Shogun will give him a decent run for his money. Every dog has his day.

I hope so, but I don't think it's going to happen. Injuries have really taken a toll on Rua.

I think it will be a good fight as well. If anybody can beat him it's Rua. Still not betting against Chida though.

You guys really think Machida would walk through Rampage? A lot of UFC fans seem to think he is a one-dimensional boxer (which he has been ever since he's been in the UFC) but the guy has great takedowns, huge slams where he just rag dolls people and one-punch knockout power. If Machida gets into exchanges with Rampage, he has the chin to survive Machida's blows, but does Machida have the chin to survive one of Rampage's hooks?

The truth is, the best Rampage we've seen in the UFC is when he fought Dan Henderson and even then he had a nagging wrist injury that limited his striking. As shown in that fight, Rampage has a lot of different skills many people don't notice, especially the way he was sweeping Hendo off his back and getting those effortless takedowns against Jardine.

I'm not saying Rampage would win in a fight with Machida, but I think it would be a lot closer than people think. That's unless Machida goes back to his old style of running away like he did with Tito.

But what am I saying, Rampage is retired. We'll probably never know unless him and Dana patch things up.

Rampage is one of my favourites, but I'm fine with him retiring. If you don't have the same desire and motivation, then don't fight.

Cro Cop had stated how he lacked the drive that he had early in his career going into his fight with Dos Santos... and he LOOKED GOD AWFUL. I'd prefer Rampage not to go out that way.

Dana white is an *******, no matter what way you slice it, but the UFC would be no where without him... as far as I'm concerned, he can say whatever the *** he wants.

I think Rampage could pull out a win vs Machida, but I wouldn't pick him going in. I also think Anderson Silva could maybe beat Machida, but who knows. Plus they don't want to fight each other from what I understand.

Either way, thats the problem with blogs and information being readily available these days. It sounds like he is venting and may not be too serious, but again who knows.

I agree Dana has made the UFC what it is now, but it also seems he's a bit shady when it comes to his fighters. I have to think that will bite him in the @ss at some point.

I would much rather see Machida fight Rampage than Rua. Rua has looked good in 1 fight since being in the UFC. Granted he did look real good his last fight but He will get owned by Machida .... mark my words. I won't even be a contest.

The thing about Machida is that he's so unorthodox and nobody has figured him out because of that reason exactly ... being unorthodox. Not in a clumsy r****d way like Keith Jardine but in a true ninja style where he can beat you a million different ways.

I love Rampage and he's exciting but there's no doubt he's one dimensonal. When's the last time you saw Rampage slam somebody? On a Youtube clip from PRIDE dated back in 2003? When's the last time he's taken anybody down and ground and pounded for a victory or better yet submitted somebody????

How do you know Rampage has the chin to survive Machida's blows? I've seen him take some brutal beatings. Machida has never lost or been knocked out so maybe he does have a good chin. Either way, I don't think Machida would exchange blow for blow with Rampage but even if he did I wouldn't count him out if it came to that. I thought Evans was the quicker and better puncher but Machida beat Evans at his own game.

I think this is just a little pre-planned UFC hype to get people talking about the fight.

I'm pretty sure they've already recorded all of the episodes already and are just airing them now that they're finished. So negotiations would have already begun by now. I guess you could say they have tried to negotiate and the result is Rampage quitting to become an actor. I'm pretty sure he's not going to be back at least until the A-Team movie airs and probably flops. I give him a year or less.

Machida has pretty good defense. I doubt he would go all out swinging.

Actually fight against Grey Manard at the last Fight Night was his match, as he finished his UFC contract to try acting. He was a great fighter though. I went to UFC 69 here in Houston, and him and Leonard Garcia put on one of the greatest battles ever in the Octogon. Great fight. 5*****

Man I got to go with Roy Nelson. Either way its gonna be a brawl. Nelson has great jui jitsu so I give him the nod.

Unless Kimbo's ground and pound skills have become second to none....I'm taking Big Country on this one.

He went back on that the day after the Maynard fight. He did an interview with Sherdog stating that he had decided that he still wanted to fight. Huerta said he still had interest in acting, but he was going to put that on the back burner and continue his MMA career.
