They're not really the same thing, Mo Williams was a sg masquarading as a pg, and he bogged the offense down and LBJ had to do all the offense running by himself. In the playoffs, Williams couldn't even shoot straight and basically just became garbage on the floor. Sessions looks like a facilitating pg, meaning he can run the offense in Mike Brown's system instead of guys like FIsher who just shoot open shots. Also, he'll be like the 4rth option, so there is no chance of him failing in the playoffs.
The thing is though that Sessions has never played with a team as talented as LA, he is going to shoot well because he gets WIDE open looks because of Pau, Bynum, and Kobe......they are all going to draw so much of the defenses attention. Sessions has always been a hidden gem, the guy was amazing in Milwaukee, I really like him a lot. Good pickup by the Lakers...dang it. DD
Yep, couldn't agree more. The triangle offense was the pg so none was needed. Mike brown and his so called offense really needs one and sessions fits the bill to a T. All the jaw jacking about lowry for gasol was bogus as usual. If la was going to make a run, they needed gasol or another all star and lowry doesn't fit that profile. Its a lot easier finding a lowry type than a gasol type. Now, cp3 is another level and that's why they offered up gasol.
I don't think half did at all, seems like I was trying to convince quite a few that the guy was really good. But with Rafer you never know, that guy was horrible, took a while for some of the denser folks to figure it out. DD
Ramon Sessions 1st start as a Laker...20 points, 6 rebounds, 11 assists. List of Laker Point guard, DOUBLE DOUBLES... Pts/Ast double doubles by LA PGs by season, prior to Sessions's: 2011/2012: 0 2010/2011: 0 2009/2010: 0 2008/2009: 1 (Fisher) 2007/2008: 1 (Fisher) 2006/2007: 0 2005/2006: 0 (Smush Parker) 2004/2005: 2 (Chucky Atkins) Four in 8 seasons, including none in the past three seasons. That's 8 total double doubles in 600 games, and none in the past 200 by Laker PGs. the last 20/10 game by a Laker PG? You'd have to go back to Chucky Atkins's back-to-back games: 1/19/2005: Atkins 25/11 1/21/2005: Atkins 26/10
Career high of 44 points and career high of 24 ASSISTS in the NBA means you're a PLAYER. Sometimes thats all you need to look at.
