you've been proven wrong twice. first about saying "most" of the people at the rally were high schoolers on no evidence other than your own judgement in which someone showed a random sample to indicate that only 15% in attendance were from high school.

And on the fact that Back compares Obama to Hitler. He did multiple times and you thought he didn't.

At this point, it appears that you aren't sincerely looking for debate but rather to annoy people and be a troll.

You're just like bigtexx and basso. Not interested in discussion, only interested in demonizing others and irritating people you don't like.

A sampling of 20 from facebook is not considered proof. Your videos claiming Beck compares Obama to Hitler are pretty weak.

you say this as you demonize me.

A sampling of 20 is proof when the rate is 15%. you can say with 95% confidence that the actual number of high schoolers is between 0 and 31%. I just ran the numbers. 31% is far less than 50%.

The examples I provide clearly have Glen Beck talking about Jews and persecution and then talking about how Obama's policies are similar to Nazis and that Obama is like a "certain dictator".

If neither of these really demonstrate anything to you, it's quite clear you are either a troll or simply blinded or brain washed in some way. That's not demonizing you, that's simply stating the obvious.

    So which one is it?

You must not know what demonize means. Whether it's obvious is irrelevant.

you obviously don't know what debate means. If you actually posted logical arguments I'd take you seriously. But you can't ask for that if your basis is that the people in pictures look young or you deny that your esteemed mr. Beck doesn't compare Obama to hitler when there's posted videos showing just that.

If you want to play the victim and say you are being demonized that's fine. But I suggest you take the critique to heart and maybe ask yourself if you are just blasting your biased opinions vs. thinking you are really being open minded.

“Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it”

My guess is da whopper and tallanvil have fallen for more whoppers than the one about Yusef.

Look, I've been very interested in this rally thing because, at first, I wasn't sure what the point was (only whether it was political vs. non-political) and then because I was overwhelmingly in favor of it (as you can see from my posts, I don't bash groups or individuals unless they've earned it- Glenn Beck, in spite of some good points- and he does do his research, is a cherry-picker, and let's just say Michael Moore is selective with his facts, too).

So, I've probably visited the Facebook page at least once per day for the last, I dunno, 20-25 days, and in all honesty, what you're saying about the demographics of his audience (a.k.a. the Rally attendees) is just not true. I mean, if I had to give an estimate, I've probably read posts from over 500 individuals, and being a former high school teacher, you can usually tell by diction and style whether someone's in high school or not (to clarify: not from an intelligence standpoint- it's just college graduates and above will typically say things like "me and my wife are going," "I'm taking my crew with me," and generally use words that are different- not better, necessarily, just different.

And I can tell you that the large, large majority of those attendees were not in high school. If you have about 30 minutes, you can go to the Rally to Restore Sanity page - it's still on Facebook- and see what I'm talking about. I'm just very insistent because it's just not a debatable issue- you can absolutely make a strong inference- nearly a fact- based on this information.

So, if you're still going to pull the Doubting Thomas routine on me, well then there's nothing I can do- I could present you with a signed statements from 100,000+ and you'd probably still say it's not representative or something like that ("Well, the other 100,000+ could all be high school kids- just sayin). Again, it's all right there on Facebook- literally 100s of posts- if you're interested in reality as opposed to a picture of a few HS kids together.

    Rally for sanity drew 215,000

WASHINGTON - A WASHINGTON rally hosted by liberal comics as an antidote to seething partisan rhetoric ahead of US mid-term elections drew 215,000 people, an estimate commissioned by CBS News said on Sunday.

The crowd was more than twice the 87,000 who turned up to a rally in August hosted by ultra-conservative news show host Glenn Beck, according to AirPhotosLive.com, which based its estimates on aerial pictures of the events.

I am happy to say that with my new policy (I have lumped YouTube into the same category as the 24 hour "news" networks), I did not add to that view count.

YouTube and television are for entertainment, journalists don't work in television anymore.
