I have all three pits going on the patio right now. 3 briskets, 4 racks of ribs, a ton of chicken, and some sausage. All high and dry under the patio cover.
Houston weather does blow, summer and winter. Cali rocks, but as they say, "you get what you pay for" But I guess that's why Houston is affordable to live in, its weather sucks year-round and it's as non-scenic as you can get.
I'm a native Houstonian and lived in Hawaii for a few years. Houston's weather reminds a the islands sometimes. And I love the winter's here in H-town. To me, it's better than Cali. That's some cold ass water. I like to swim everyday and I don't like wetsuits. I've even been known to take a quick dip in January and Feb. here in the Bayou City. It's great! Swimmin' in the rain!!!
thanks to global warming or it would be snow! but this is a little overthe top recently. Cant even get out to the driving range or to the bball courts.
It's killing my golf game. I have a hard enough time avoiding the water that the course designers put on the course, but having to avoid the water that God puts there too? This is ridiculous.
Finally had a day with NO rain. Clear skies, pool day...if I wasn't at work on a 24hr shift. I love the clouds and rain though, it's been so nice and cool. Give me that weather any day over clear skies, HOT, and humid.
My daughter has been in Houston for two weeks. She asked my mom today if it ever stopped raining. Living the last three years in Arizona, she isn't used to so much water falling from the sky.
went tubin' on barton creek again yesterday - right when we finished it started raining again - as if god was waiting for us to finish our ride! TUBULAR!
I just got through mowing the front and back yards. It was disgusting, mud lines everywhere. Mosquitos were awful too. But at least there was a window of opportunity in which to get it done...
just can't get away from this damn rain. drove from houston to biloxi (sp?) last night and it's been raining on and off here. just can't get away from this damn board either though right next to the beach.
