If Rafer is an ulcer, Marbury is a cancer. :D

Just kidding. I love Rafer. He will be fine after shooting thousands of threes every day in the offseason.

    Dakota, as usual I agree.

We need a third scorer, who can create his own shot. This is the main need. Otherwise we will always be hoping to win by holding opponents to under 80 pts ;and when either Yao or T Mac is out, or having a bad game, we will lose 9 out of every 10 games.

Can't do very well with this limitation. Perhaps even JVG realizes this, as he has mentioned the need for more "fire power".

A big plus would be to dump Howard's contract.

Yea...Zeke might actually get to keep his job as even without picks, NY would have more reason to buy tickets next year. They lose a young pf, a center and 2 fighting pgs and gain a true star. Minny actually might be better - getting 3 decent starters; unloading Hudson and his contract though I don't know that Kevin would still see this as enough return. He might need a pick or two too. We unload 4 people we (I) really don't mind parting with for a young pf and Marbury gets a fresh start on a team that has true stars but isn't overloaded with egos so his might fit.

I'm almost talking myself into it...

Marbury is a loser. He's lost everywhere he's been to.

Well, if they take Juwan off our hands, its an even trade is the loser category. ;) Then we'd get a big upgrade in points/assists. So we'd still be better off than now.

    Rivaldy,

I'd rather have Steve back also. He loved his teammates and loved playing for the Rockets. I miss the old Cat and Steve days, the comradary with Yao as show in the Year of the Yao..

This also proves that Rudy T was one hell of a coach. Steve was an allstar when Rudy was coach.

The Rockets have to do the right thing...bring back Calvin Murphy and the nightmare will be over!

So um, one of the reasons we gave up a "shoot first" PG like Mike James for a "pass first" guy like Rafer Alston was because James was a free agent and we didn't want to overpay him. Now we could be trading out Rafer for a max contract Marbury? Yeah, that makes sense.

Yeah because it couldn't have anything to do with the fact that Marbury's a max contract loser, who doesn't trust his teammates.

Who cares about that? Yao was a rookie and last I checked he was 7'-6", not exactly supposed to be mobile and quick enough to stay with Marbury.

Just like everyone gets blocked and dunked on, people get crossed, it happens. Just ask MJ #23 who lost his haynes undies on the court when A.I. ridiculously crossed him his rookie year. It happens.

I'd rather take the same package, add our first round pick, and see if that has any chance of enticing Philly to send us Iverson.

3 years for 60 mils. That alone makes Marbury worse than Ryan Bowen or any other player on Rockets. Not to mention what Marbury does best is taking away shots from Tmac and Yao.
