Yeah, I don't know how one can "wish" for a Smush Parker

That's like 'wishing' that your best friend had poked your left eye out instead of the right one...same difference.

You're using some stupid logic.. So guys are the same because they share 1 characteristic?

Rafer is great at handling, passing, running an offense, getting steals. Smush is terrible at all of the above (except steals) in relation to other PG's

Smush is great at finishing at the rim and strong. Rafer is terrible at that compared to other PG's

The key is that the reason Rafer is paid more and the reason he starts is because of those differences he has. Otherwise we'd just start Novak at point. Or Mike Quinn.

Here is something we totally agree on. Like I said in another thread, anyone who's watched Smush a few games this year knows better.

I say this as someone who hates the fact that Rafer is our starting PG. Smush is Rafer's Mississippi. As long as Smush is a starter, Rafer will not be the worst starting PG in the NBA.

My point is that neither is a competent guard for a team looking to contend for championships.

They are #1 and #2 in terms of being the worst starting PGs in the league.

Their styles might be different but the end result/production is similar.

They are 2 different flavors of same terribleness. Any more similarities and DNA experts would need to be called in.

Neither should ever complain about playing time. They should just be thankful that they are starting.

Thats Smush's major issue with the Lakers, he's starting and he's only making 800K. Can't say I blame him, have you seen the prices of LA real estate.

I would like to make 800k a year and have my boss tell me to go sit in a corner and get some rest.

Where do I look once I graduate? monster.com?

Am I wrong when I say Rafer played much better when he was with Toronto? I remember he was scoring more, and was even a go-to guy in some situations...

So why isn't Smush smart enough to realize he is playing for a contract? Most players are smart enough to keep it together and over-achieve before they become an UFA.

It makes perfect sense. Because their overall contribution ends up being similar, Smush needs his salary to match Rafer's so he can afford to live in Los Angeles.
