Heard throught the grapevine everything is okay and it was just a scare. Don't know what the scare was. That is all I know.
Ok, if you don't have pictures, or if it isn't on facebook it didn't happen. I'm sorry, maybe if you created an event on facebook like "Fly to Minny with Rafer" I could lend some credence to your story, but until then, I don't believe it.
Hey, maybe Rafer went to Minnesota to find his jump shot..... Glad to hear he is good to go. Thanks Mlwoo. DD
Tracy McGrady (shoulder and knee) has been scrimmaging, and Rafer Alston (ankle) practiced on Thursday. Shane Battier (ankle) worked out Thursday morning though he has not had his physical and Steve Francis (knee) said he is hoping to be cleared this weekend. Link [/thread]
They have a Rafer podcast as well as, Luther Head, and Tad Brown. Rafer says he is fine and was back in Houston taking part in the Toyota Center blood drive.
We all saw that. Just because you think you are cool and emailed Jonathan Feigan doesn't mean that there wasn't a problem or that you or JF knew anything about what was going on. Rafer practiced today and I am very thankful because apparently whatever he had was really serious.. [/BrooksBall]
For whatever it's worth, Rafer was interviewed by Adam Clanton on 610 today morning. When asked if there were any health issues or complications from his ankle surgery, he said no.
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/basketball/nba/09/25/alston.rockets/index.html Alston cleared to play after heart tests By Chris Mannix, SI.com Houston Rockets point guard Rafer Alston underwent tests during the offseason to rule out a potential heart condition, league sources told SI.com. Two doctors examined Alston and both cleared him to play, according to the sources. Alston has been scrimmaging with the Rockets this week and will participate in training camp. "Rafer had a few extra tests on his physical," Rockets general manager Daryl Morey told SI.com. "Everything came back negative. They were precautionary." Morey declined to comment on the nature of the tests. A call to Alston's agent, Dan Fegan, was not immediately returned. Alston averaged 13.1 points and 5.3 assists in 74 games with the Rockets last season.
Hater, It was Feigen's standard Chronicle blog, not e-mail. I have zero inside connections. Nobody likes haters.
