I think people are mostly making jokes about this right now because it seems really unlikely that Rafer actually cut the guy. But if Rafer is found guilty, he should go to jail for assault at a minimum. I don't know if he could be suspended or his contract voided after that.
I think it goes like this(from experience ) 1-You get arrested for a crime 2-You go before a judge in a prelimanary hearing so he/she can determine if the evidence is enough to be charged and stand trial. This when the bond is set. 3-If you have been charged, they ask for your plea, and depending on your plea they either set the trial date and/or the sentencing date Im thinking maybe being picked out of a line up was enough to be charged.I hope Rafer didnt do this but people(thugs) from NY are known to slash peoples faces with a razor instead of stabbing. Probably was one of Rafers click.
So...umm, who's the liar? It's eiter Fran Blinebury or Kas13. They've both been wrong and right in the past. One is a bad sportswriter who does have info but is also full of bs too. The other is a Rockets pencil pusher who does get decent scoops from people around him, but then again, it's not like he works high up in the operations/management department. Common sense says the deal was talked about. It never happened...I guess that's really all that matters. And more importantly, it can't happen now, b/c Rafer's trade value has fallen even further. It makes no sense to trade Rafer now, basically because it's negative value. It's like an upside down car, or Stromile Swift. Rafer must be kept as insurance.
It's not surprising he's in trouble again. He was accused of beating up an ex-girlfriend prior to being recruited at Fresno State.
I said it before and now it applies tenfold. Rafer has killed us on the court and now he's once again showing why he belongs in AND 1 showings and the like. The lack of professionalism is mind boggling. The guy just killed any value he had.Now to get rid of him we have to add something of value. What a disengenous punk. BTW...I really hope the fellow that got slashed is OK. ....absolutely pathetic
The guy shouldn't continually put himself in these situations. Act like a grown man. Along with his responsibility to himself and society,Rafer owes the Rockets. The guy needs to act like a pro on and off the court....esp. when he knows we're trying to move him. These are the kind of repeated incidents that shut you out of the League for good. Nothing against you weslinder, but this is big business man and he needs to act accordingly. I'd like to know if his contract can be voided, getting us out from underneath it.
It isn't like this guy hasn't gotten in trouble before, so I'm sure most are doubting his innocence at this point.
C'mon the bouncer was in the center of the melee and he says nobody got cut, then the guy turns up in the hospital with a cut on his neck. This accusation holds as much water as Juwan stealing sunglasses. I'd be surprise if we're hearing about this once the season starts.
now we introduce Rafers entourage....... a.k.a..........his posse. AND Rafer was just tryna roll with the homies............
Not unless he's convicted of a felony and even then its pretty tricky. Don't hold your breath, there's no way this makes it to trail.
This has nothing to do with Rafer but it shows how NY'ers get down <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/WwtJi-Dc5BE"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/WwtJi-Dc5BE" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
