What does Rafer want to do if the following statments are true? What kind of person who is? He is making $Ms to do his job, not going to nightclub for a fighting.

"Alston, according to some sources, was not handling the flood of challenges to his job well. He has rarely joined informal workouts at the Toyota Center with his teammates. He claimed that he didn't know any members of Adelman's new coaching staff were in town. Then he simply didn't show up."

I believe you. In fact, you can join my "I was forcibly sexed up by Vida Guerra" support group if you want. We are here to listen.

yeah, he ran the rockets into the groud so much that they are actually a top 6 team in the NBA. SO much better before he got here.

yes rockets have talent. But aquiring talent is the job of the GM and owner. and rafer was one of the few guys who would actually give yao a good feed in the post.

I'm starting to think that not many good things happen to people when they are out at 2 or 3 in the morning.

27th-29th street up there around 10th & 11th is unofficially known as 'club row', mostly all straight.

better question is why Rafer was still going out to the night clubs... when he has been charged with a crime already...

ontop of that what is it with NBA players and night clubs/crime

there a only few reasons to go to a night club... the best two are to get drunk/ and to get laid... or both

I think most regular folks stop going on a regular basis...when they hit 25 to 30 years of age range...

Sorry, but I do not respect Franny's opinion at all. He's another reason I'm boycotting the Chronicle. He can't seem to get past his sarcastic, snide remarks, and neither can I.

If Rafer is guilty of this, why should he be treated less leniently than Michael Vick? The NFL suspended Vick indefinitely and without pay over the dogfighting debacle. Can the NBA and/or the Rockets do the same to Rafer if he admits to or is found guilty of doing this?

This can be directly attributed to JVG's handling of rafer. In toronto, rafer b****ed about playing time and feuded with the coach there. Here in houston he was handed the starting job on a silver platter and no matter how badly he played, he would still get his 40 mins a game. Bascially JVG didn't teach him any sort of accountability and now rafer cannot handle any competition for his spot. JVG taught him it wasn't necessary to compete for the spot and now he is acting out cause his caretaker is gone from the team and he can't handle it.

I can't start a thread, but I was wondering if anyone else noticed that this year has a great potential for a rematch of the '81 and '86 finals.
