lol Steve brings out the best in everyone. Any time Steve gets close to coming back, everybody seems to step it up.

the rockets are 31 of 40 (77.5 %) when rafer has made at least 2 threes and had 2 or less turnovers.

Sure ... why wouldn't I? The difference between the two right now is pretty large. Ron is new to the team and doesn't have a history of shooting this poorly. For Rafer, this is just par for the course. Artest's struggles are starting to concern me though and naturally if this continues the Rockets are not any better off.

How did Rafer do the final 17 games of the regular season from there? How did he do for the season? How did he do the 250 games he's been in a Rockets uniform?

How did Rafer's replacement, Bobby Jackson, shoot while Rafer was out? How did Rafer shoot in the games they won against the Jazz? How did he shoot in the games they lost?

Always got a laugh out of those who thought Rafer's shooting was trivial or unimportant. We have seasons of data to prove that one wrong. It was a simple math problem involving efficiency and volume. The pressure on your defense was always enormous when you relied on Rafer, and to a lesser extent T-Mac, to take such a high number of shots.

This season though, I'm not that crazy against Rafer... theoretically with Artest, and our full squad healthy, Rafer "should" be shooting less (similar to what we saw the first 8 games before his suspension) and hopefully seeing a minor reduction in time if Aaron Brooks continues to make strides. I'm not convinced of it, but hopeful. Obviously with T-Mac out he's going to get more shots.

Rafer has one or two of these little hot streaks every season; this one is coming at a good time. But, don't get used to it, it won't last. Rafer's career shooting stats are low. They would keep statistics on his famous "floater" but the math program can't compute that low.

Picking him up for my fantasy team, at least for the period T-mac is out.

I don't understand why Rafer goes into streaks like this and I don't care. I nodiced that he does shoot a lot better coming off screens beyond the arc. He likes to shoot over his own man...lol but if he keeps draining them people should STOP HATIN' ON HIM!

yeh the streaks are something you cant explain. His shots are coming from the same spots they always do....He actually hit a couple last night with a man in his face. Doesnt make sense but over time his percentage will move back where its always been...Thats why when he has a night like this you have to prepare yourself for an 0fer pretty soon. Hopfully it wont be an '0 for', but more like a 2-7 kind of night.
