how about we sit all of our starters sans scola for the next 2 weeks? then hopefully yao, mcgrady, shane, artest can all heal. we'd be a 500 team, won't be too deep of a hole.
Like I said that's all rafer said. He was talking to keith jones when he came out of the tunnel after the game. I asked him how the leg he said he would be out a few games. Then he was talking to another guy next to me and he said 2 weeks
Yes,I will give him credit for that even though he is an average PG. He did make some dumb mistakes before he got hurt today though.
I wonder if the Rockets are going to be OK with the midget chucker of if they'll need to get a real PG.
I'm calling this the Curse of Novak. YoYo, the Novak stalker, loses his streak...and...and...Alston goes down.
Ok, no problem. But it is kinda funny. Everybody bashes Rafer but when he goes down everybody misses this guy. At least he doesn't turn it over and controls the game pretty well.
I'm guessing no one else noticed Keith Jones was hiding under the basket and kicked Rafer's hammy as he was landing. Then, while on the bench, Macha karate chopped it. We have the worst training staff in the league, If we were in Phoenix, the trainers would have performed surgery right on the bench and had him ready to go for the next game. We have the worst staff ever!! Seriously though, i agree its too early for Rafer himself to know. So let's wait and see. He wasn't limping much as he walked off the court and didn't really react that much when he landed, so lets just hope he strained it a bit and just needs a few days rest.
As much as I'm a critic of Rafer's play, I would never wish an injury on anyone. I hope he's ok and it's nothing serious. I'm really left speechless when it comes to the Houston Rockets and injuries. On the bright side, at least these injuries are occuring at the beginning of the season and not towards the end. It still gives everybody time to get healthy and eventually play together to develop some chemistry considering the new players that we've added. This would be an ideal opportunity for Steve Francis, but I don't think he's anywhere near game shape yet. It will be interesting to see how the team plays and responds.
oh HA HA post game was pretty weak this time, not many people came out Tracy made a real brief appearance but then went back into the tunnel. Novak was in the tunnel with Carl and Aaron but he never came out. most of the players just came out said hello and then took off. Oddly the one that was out hanging around the longest was Rafer.
this might, just might, be a blessing in disguise. If neither Brooks or Rafer get injured the whole season then Francis will surely never get significant playing time. If this actually allows him to play, then the question of whether he's washed up or not will finally be answered. I rather know and get it over with than keep wondering "what if" they gave Francis a chance.
truth be told and flame me if you want...i like francis more than i like tmac. why? even though he's less talented and got less skill, he's got more heart than tmac. i donno, i guess i want the Cinderella story with him. i donno, he was consider great at one point and i reeeealllly don't want him to go out like this... an injured has-been. but whatever.
