Prosun, just a suggestion. Lose the insults and just make your point. The name-calling isn't necessary, no matter how strongly you feel about something. Let's be civil and just focus on facts.
I see what you're saying. Normally I don't insult posters, but when they trollishly make the same posts after posts despite reasonable refutes, it gets very annoying. If you've been paying any attention, I'm not the only one criticizing Amel. Speaking of that guy, at least I don't call people racists when someone doesn't agree with me like Amel would. I'm pretty sure him calling someone a racist on this board is worse than anything I've ever said to him.
As of right now, he is hurting us more than helping. Its almost like we are playing 4 on 6, with Rafer playing on the other team. Im pulling for Rafer because we don't have many options right now (im not foolish enough to think that V-Span or Lucas could start already). I actually felt bad for him last night. He has no confidence and it is affecting every part of his game. That lob he threw to TMac was so off and we turned over the ball. TMac looked at him like wtf. I also saw him get lit up by Gordon after missed shots and you could tell by his body language (on D) that he was still thinking about the missed shot. I hope he gets out of this horrid slump or CD will have to pull something (i.e. trading for mike james)
Let me get this right. Novak shot well from the college three point line with no defenders on the court. That automatically means he is ready to play in the NBA where long athletic defenders will be all over him. The same NBA where he has missed open and contested threes for the past few games. And Vspan did well in Euroleague games and the World championships so therefore he automatically can do the same in the NBA. If that were the case, shouldnt the rox trade Yao and Tmac to the grizzlies for Pau Gasol and then go out and sign the rest of his Spanish teammates since they won the world championships and clearly are the best team in the world. Yes Vspan would bring the ball up, and then too often he would jump in the air and throw it to the wrong team. As for shooting, his percentages are worse then Rafer's from the field and the three point line. I think it is you whose faith Novak and Vspan at this point is misguided.
hahah the thing is, that story was few weeks ago..you must be really under stress bringing it up again and btw, who is criticizing me? ckckckck
This is an empircally false tautology. For this to be true, you'd pretty much have to say that every single coaching decision by every half-decent coaching staff in the history of the universe has been correct. That's just not true. Sometimes competent, informed people screw up. That's true for a variety of the reasons. Sometimes, they can't see the forest for the trees. Sometimes, they have too much loyalty. Other times, they just miscalculate.
It actually works if you add the premise that JVG & co. know how to win, which I think is reasonable.
I'll put my name out there. You are a broken record. Not even a good one. You never have any facts to back up your ridiculous guarantees. If you are so sure of yourself, why aren't NBA teams knocking down your door with coaching contracts? Have you ever even played basketball before?
that is quite true, people make mistakes, BUT NOONE has seen that Vspan can shoot better percentages or have less turnovers then Rafer. The only person qualified to tell about Vspans shot at the moment is in fact JVG who has watched it the most. If you think about it, in his Euroleague he was a poor shooter. What would his role be in the team? Rafer spots up most of the time, and that clearly is his role. Who the hell is going to spot up with Vspan is in there instead?
hahahahahah you seriously have no clue how slow you are you got's to understand some sarcasm and please, get of my back....
buddy, you are only here because of Yao, right? I have been a fan of Houston since 95-96 back that up! and you also, get a job and stop looking at my record
I guess that depends on your version of reasonable...or by reasonable do you mean the posts that agree with your viewpoint? Let's go over the facts, as you say. Fact - Rafer is shooting terribly, and his assists are down also Fact - Rafer's defense is pretty bad, and he is undersized at the PG position Fact - JVG's trade of Mike James for Rafer is one of the worst in Rocket's history Fact - JVG likes the way that Rafer controls the tempo Fact - V-Span is a better defender than Rafer Fact - V-Span is a better passer than Rafer Fact - V-Span has not played the PG position yet this regular season Fact - V-Span will need court time to get comfortable Fact - JL3 has outplayed both V-Span and Rafer Fact - JVG demands accountabilty from everyone except...JVG Fact - JVG is playing for a new contract and will minimize risks as often as possible I understand why JVG sticks with Rafer, he controls the tempo and is a low turnover guy, I can respect that. What I don't respect is JVG not trying someone else when a player is seriously struggling like Rafer is today. Look, I get loyalty, but what is wrong with a little healthy competition? Why not try another option? Head, JL3, V-Span? Especially when other teams are aware of Rafer's troubles and are ignoring him on defense. Basically we are playing 3 on 5 on the offensive end...Thank GOD McGrady is worth 3 people alone. The bottom line is that most of the posts on this board are about opinion, and there are some reasonably argued points on both sides of the fence, I see where everyone is coming from, but it doesn't mean that I read the tea leaves the same as them. There are never black and white issues when dealing with opinions, only shades of gray....and if you are getting annoyed with other people's posts, you need to calm down, because no one else is getting worked up...we are all just here because we love the Rockets.... And, in my case.....I am just a lot smarter than you. DD
I agree with you DD, JVG is either sickly loyal or sickly stubborn. Remember how horrific Juwan played last year for many stretches starting next to Yao and he wouldn't experiment with any other combination even when the season was over. I think JVG's stubborness is one of his pitfalls as a coach. A point guard that shoots 35% from the field with T-Mac and Yao on his team is a complete killer. I wonder which player other teams will double off of when the cards are on the table come playoff time. JVG orchestrated the Aston for Mike James trade, so this one is on him.
Agreed. LOL, 1996? yes the rockets made lots of fans when they got swept out of the playoffs in the second round by the Sonics that year. In terms of rocket-fan longevity, YOF's are grizzled die hard veterans compared to VSOF's.
Sam I suggest for you to look at all my comments, when I started posting on here I explained how and why I became a Rocket fan....
