With about three minutes remaining in the third quarter, Alston blocked Kendrick Perkins'(notes) baseline shot from behind and argued for a traveling call. When Davis disagreed, instead signaling for a jump ball, Alston slapped a wet kiss on the top of Davis' head. He received a curious look before walking away. As gentle as the kiss was, Alston's lips clearly made contact with Davis above the shoulders and he could have been ejected on the spot. At minimum he will be hit with a fine from Stu Jackson and/or some ChapStick. (Note: This is a joke; though would you really put it past the league at this point?)
I've watched NBA basketball for over 35 years, but I don't remember any other player kissing refs multiple times besides Rafer.

Come on...lay off the hate. Rafer's a good guy, and his level of effort and commitment to winning would fit right in with the resilience this current Rockets team is putting on display. He's the main reason I'm pulling for Orlando. As a side note, I went to a Wizards game one time and during the kiss cam segment they focused on Rafer and Francis. Rafer being a good sport kissed Steve on the top of the head to the crowd's delight. Most players just ignore it or get a pissed off look on their face.
