You have to give it up to Skip tonight. He took the game to Baron Davis and just completely outplayed him on both ends of the court. Very impressive performance.
19 is too many shots for Rafer. Games with him taking the most shot attempts have become a common occurance for this team. He is not a high volume shooter. He does other things well, but Rafer's shooting is just too inconsistant for him to get so many attempts.
Rafer is def playing his best bball and he is a big reason why the Rockets are kicking some ass. I am so happy for the guy. He never gave up since his early struggles.
I'm happy for Rafer and will have my crow with a side of potatoes please. I'm glad we didn't get rid of him, great guy and great player. Keep it up Rafer. Just stay away from parking attendants plz.
it would be nice if many people appreciated rafer other than when he is just shooting the ball better. He has been off and on shooting-wise, but he has ALWAYS been very important to the team with what he brings. It's great that his shooting streak brings him the current praise, but he still deserves a lot of credit even when he isnt shooting well...afterall there is more to basketball. keep playing your game rafer!
Yep, always seems to know when to push, and when to hold back. Doesnt make the big mistakes. I think my favorite Rafer play now is the 18 footer when the defender goes under the pick. That wasnt there last year, and if it was, Utah would have been toast.
remember when clyde always mention rafer is a future all star?!! maybe clyde knows more about basketball than we think? lol
Rafer is reminding me of Horry. If you recall, Horry was being traded for Elliot, and the trade didn't go through because Elliot didn't pass his physical. When Horry asked why he was being traded he was told it was because he didn't shoot in the clutch. So, well, being reborn in Houston since the trade didn't go through, he knew he had to shoot in the clutch, I mean, what did he have to loose. Well, Rafer was all but traded at the start of this season. He stuck around, fought hard to keep his starting position, and then from there he has been fierce. Aggressive, taking it to the hole, shooting lights out - Rafer is playing with nothing to loose. He has tapped into our team energy, he is leading this team, he is dominant. Rafer!!!!
Rafer is playing out of his mind right now, 3 pter way behind the arc, tough layup, tough fade away shots, are u kidding me, scoop to my lou?
