    Dump both Alston and James!.

James is not a point guard, who always looks for shot first; Alston is a point guard however he doesn't know how to pass.

Get Jose Caldron from Toronto, I am a big fan of him and I believe, Yao/TMac/Scola/Battie/Jose can make a run for NBA Championship.

This game should settle the debate. Francis can help this team out more than Alston, James and certainly more than Head.

Stevie is a much better defender than Rafer. You can see what a transition defence was played by Steve. He really was able to stop his man. :D

Even though Stevie has lost a step, it seems like it even easier for him to get to the rack now than in his younger days. Is he just more effecient or is it because the defense can't focus on him anymore? It seemed like could get to rim anytime he wanted to.

SF3 is a straight up baller!
He's defense really surprised me, there are so many fast break opportunity for Denver where they weren't able to convert. SF3 may not be run a team or whatever, but he showed tonight he's a much better defender than Rafer will ever be.

I don't think he takes his time as much when he would dribble alot back then, bow he doesn't seem to hesitate and the defense has to react faster

Two words, inferior competition. He's now going against the likes of Anthony Carter. Yikes! Where he used to be guard the the opponents best guard.

francis had a great night tonight! steals, a block, good shot % and only 1 TO. that is the way to assist the big two, i hope we see much more of this type of play from our guards- whoever RA chooses them to be, even if it's not steve.

if you're talking about stealing pg backups, i'd rather have jordan farmar.

anyway, i think all 3 pg's should be in the rotation. alston should play point the most and the rest of the pg time will be split between francis and james; james and francis will also play some sg to even out the minutes.

Steve displayed 10 pionts 4 rebs 3 assists in 20mins...
I expect he can still get 20 points 6 rebs 7 assists if is allowed to play 30-35mins...
I'm not saying stats is everything...but come on! He can do that but how about Reefer and James?
I'd love to see Yao Mac and Steve playing together and it's much more effective than play rafer and james eating steve's mins...we've seen enough...

Not to mention all the defense and intangibles he bought in tonight's game.

Steve is the MAN! He even gave props at his post game interview to all the fans that rooted for him while he was down the first few games. Yao+T-mac+Steve= more wins! :D

Francis has definitely earned the right to more time (or atleast time of some sort), but 20 minutes of game action certainly won't be the end of the debate. He looked good tonight... they sacrificed Luther Head's time and stretched the minutes farther with Bonzi out as well. Nice to see Steve play well... I thought he played unselfishly and used his head.

What puzzles me to no end is the job security Rafer is enjoying. Just baffling. My theory (see: GUESS) is that this is T-Mac's doing.

You know what is interesting to me, is how under control Steve has been playing.

If he can continue to play like that, then my guess is by all star break, Rafer is toast.

Agreed. Right now the only downfall to his play has been his hesitance on the 3 point shot. But he shoots so few of those that it might not matter much.

He meant guarded by the opponents best guard. So Steve doesnt have the other team's lockdown defender on him and can toast the regular joes. Those drives were pretty nice, though he did miss a gimme. But made the toughie. Typical Francis....
