I want to see Steve in the lineup just for his fire. We all know the passion he plays with (for the good or bad plays he makes, he wants to win), and I think that aspect of his game could really help this team.

He seemed to have pretty good control of the flow of the game while he was in there too. But of course, he was playing with all the other bench players.

Rafer is terrible. Has been and always will be. So much for great basketball minds like Adelman!

Agreed. At least Steve will contribute on the offensive end.. his first real game and he scores 8 points.. pretty damn good for not playing all year... give Stevie a chance. ;)

Rafer "The Airball and Floater King" Alston. Yea tonight it's Rafer Time!! ;) That's a good way to get open, just shoot bricks all the time and you will find yourself open! I bet JVG came up with that strategy. It's Time! (for a changing of the guards) :(

Maybe we could get Jason Kidd :p

Thats just part of the article, the rest is about the Nets losing and Kidd being frustrated etc. etc.

If only to boost his trade value.

Seems like Mike james might be traded before Rafer with the way things are going...

After tonight's game, I've just about had it with Mike James. Rafer Alston is what he is ... Which is ... overally an offensive liability, though tonight he did surprisingly well (until the 4th that is).

Regardless of my bias for Steve Francis, it's about time to shake up the rotation. The stubborness of RA is getting to me. I want to say I have faith in the coach and all, but just like JVG, RA is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Man. How frustrating. From 6-1 to 6-6.

Rafer's shoots are going in tonite. But he still needs a brain transplant. That's how pathetic our guards are becoz he's still the best option now.

not difficult to see why james and tmac didn't get along the first time around :(
can james make a pass? why even bother having yao and james on the court at the same time?

I just don't see the "depth" and "talent" at the 1. We have Alston (can dribble but can't do anything else), Head (can shoot but really can't do anything else), James (can slash and shoot but dominates the ball too much) and Francis (who is out of shape). Not many teams in the NBA would want our back court, believe me.

For the love of God, play Steve!!!! I can't handle this anymore. This could be a great team, but it's hard to score consistently when you're playing down 2 men on offense. If Rafer takes a pull-up three on a fastbreak again, I might shoot myself.

    (Kidd), Brooks
    Francis, Bonzi, Head

I think we can take Mike James out of the point guard equation officially now -- Adelman doesn't use him as a point at all. He actually has Luther run the point when he puts James/Luther out there.

Very, very frustrating to watch these rotations right now.

It doesn't make any sense. If you're looking for someone else to fill in as the PG when Mike James is in the game we might as well use Brooks or Francis. Head has no PG instincts whatsoever.

Agree, hard to figure out what what our overall strategy is supposed to be.

I love Stevie but right now it's not even about him. They could give Brooks a look for all I care but we need to see something different. HOW MANY GAMES is it going to take before Rick shakes up the rotation?
