Stevie played well and i think he settled for jumpers cuz he looked a bit winded. I'm going to have to take back what i've said before to some point but stevie does need to get in shape to reach the top. He is still better than the rest of our guards at point but if he's serious about this season i hope he needs to condition himself so he can penetrate better, d up better, and #1 last longer to keep the other noob guards from runing point
Start Steve, Bonzi, T-Mc (when he's ready again), Scola and Yao. Substitute MJ7, Snyder and Battier when the other team puts in their second unit. Then put Hayes on the bench for emergencies and find Rafer a bar where everybody knows his name. We'll be just fine.
I agree. I was not a big fan of bringing Stevie back, but in the short exposure we just got, he looked much different and deserves a look. I still believe Rafer is the better defensive player. The other guy, Brooks, looked like the best offensive point we have. I'd rather see him get a shot.
steve settled for jumpers because that's what guards do in adelman's offense. I don't what happened to steve's mid range game, it used to be automatic, if he can find his shot, specifically mid range, he will start.
I hate Mike Jame's ballhogging illness but I think we need his leadership on the floor. The only think he lacks is to realize that he is not the number option on the floor. This is his major issue. I think that's one reason why RA rarely use him with Yao and Tracy playing.
Rafer is this team's Ryan Bowen..... we have to have a PG capable of hitting the outside shot... atleast sometimes.... this is pathetic rly!! IMO we have a roster full of backup PGs. We should try to trade for a starter, while we have the depth to do it. I love SF but in all honesty he is just a backup at this point IMO. Rafer... enough said. MJ see Francis. Head is the only one I may would even consider to run the team "IF" he can start knocking down the trey. We are gonna live or die this year by this position. Hell at this point Matt Maloney would be an upgrade!!
Not really, it's a completely unsubstantiated rumour. TMac has been saying nothing but nice things about Francis. But what is he supposed to say? That he sucks? Remember TMac also said Rafer was the perfect PG for the team, and remained curiously silent abotu Steve's play.
I think you're correct. It's a tough spot, but until the rest of the team starts shooting better it won't irritate me much. If MJ continues once the team starts to click, it will become sore issue.
that's it... this situation needs to be resolved in the OCTAGON. Rafer vs. James vs. Francis last man standing wins.
Isiah's busy trying to get all three of his bigmen in his rotation at the same time, because David Lee is a beast from the outside.
How in the world did we get from here...to what we have now? Where Will Steve Francis End Up? nah dude francis would win via rear naked choke on rafer <br> He'd go enraged on rafer's ass......Mike james would probably help too
NBA Basketball Nov. 19, 2007, 11:21PM ROCKETS SUMMARY The Francis question Tracy McGrady's return to the court Wednesday against Dallas could lead to Steve Francis' return to the bench. Rockets coach Rick Adelman said Monday that he does not plan changes to his rotation, calling Francis' first playing time of the season Saturday "a one-game situation." "I don't think there's anything different," Adelman said. "It's not a problem with our rotation. It's just a problem with how we're playing as a team. I don't have any plans to change that right now. "It's a one-game situation. He (Francis) played and I thought he did fine the other night. If you're going to make a change like that and incorporate somebody into the rotation that hasn't been in there, you need to have to decide who it is you're taking out because they didn't give me 20 more minutes to deal with. "That's the bottom line. I think you have to be real fair and be sure when you make a decision like that. "Losing four in a row ... you might make changes, but you have to remember you didn't have Tracy for 2 1/2 games in that losing streak. I think I have to be more patient than that."
