If he can only stop taking wild shot, lower his turn over, and stop thinking he can make shot, when we all know he won't make. He'll be alright, but guess what!?!? It's not happening!!! F*&( I don't understand how van gundy letting him do this. Rafer is alright sometimes, but dam, his bad shooting and turn over just overshadow the goods things he does for us.

totally agree. only rafer is to blame for how badly he played, but only jvg is to blame for leaving rafer out there to struggle. the coach has got to tell a guy that hasn't been hot to limit his 3s. i was flabbergasted every time rafer took a 3 when head was on the court, because every launch from rafer was a 3pt shot that head had a 50% chance of making. i also cannot comprehend why he has small guys inbounding the ball instead of someone who can actually see the players he's trying to pass to.

the only bright side to this losing streak is the longer it goes on, the better the chances of jvg quitting on the team or him being fired.

I actually applauded the trade that brought him here from Toronto cause I thought he would be a pass first PG(avg. 8 assist in Tor.) who wouldn't make bone headed plays(2 TOs). Now I realize that the vestige of his And1 clowning days are still a part his game.(and how playing in Toronto could inflate anyone's numbers). Lets package him and Tmac+Bonzi for Mike Bibby and Ron Artest. Sac is not going anywhere this year or in next 3, and by then MB and RA would be past their prime, might as get couple of flashy players with no substance for their fans to enjoy. If all else fail, I wouldn't mind just getting Matt Maloney, Bryce Drew, or even Brent Price back.

Man..i hate this guy...he is way too inconsistent..there is no way he can lead this team to a champion. I watched his games when he played in Toronto..he just sucked a big time and that is why he spent most of his team on a lousy team like Raptors.
This loss really hurts and I feel sorry for Yao..another big game slipped away..sad...I like Yao as much as this team but looking at what they are playing now it is sad...too many turnovers from guards, especially in final minutes..

    +1...

I can hardly endure his brainless... :(

He just need to shut down his shoot attempts especially his awful floating shot...

It only took me two or three games last year to determine that Alston can't shoot consistently, can't defend effectively, and is an easy turn over when pressured. A no brainer. Nothing has changed. Rocket's management and coaching staff really struggle when it comes to evaluating talent. Most casual fans would not have traded James for Alston. Duh.

I BLame JVG for all of Alstons antics because he has let the same thing go on game in and game out, right from the first game of the season, withouth correcting the many blatent mistakes which Alston continues to make!!!!!! :p

i liked the way alston has played this season up until about a week ago...and to think we gave away a good shooter and playmaker in james to get him. To be honest in order for the rockets to get to the championship level they will need a new point gaurd and a new power foward. Hayes is great but someone who can score off the bench with some jumping abilities is a must.

Other than 7 TOs, there are lots of sets, Rafer dribbles off most time and lefts less than 10 seconds for real offense. I just don't understand why JVG didn't take him out. Rafer totally out of control.

Imagine if he we had Smush Parkers defense at the point!

I'm not by any means asking for a trade to bring Smush here or anything but imagine if we had that defensive intesity at the point, from any of our players!

Oh well tough loss, shouldn't have happened. No T-Mac = No W against quality teams because no clutch.

I'm just sad Yao Ming is exhausting himself over this bull****.

At least the league knows what he can do now. And this was on ESPN so maybe a lot more people.

the weakest link is tmac's back.

he isn't getting any better. it's not a good idea to stay on board a sinking ship.

    :(

maybe rafer is getting all this playing time because the Rox already have a plan to trade him for a better (less turnover prone) PG.?????

This was the case with Mo Taylor a few years back where he was starting instead of Howard....agree???

    You guys should all STFU.

Rafer Alston is probably the best PG Rox has in 10 years. He is the true PG and true pass first PG. He don't need to score to be effective.

Mike James for Rafer Alston is probably the best deal Rox made in team history. Way to go, JVG and CD!!! :D

I am no basetball expert and plays only casually. But the major reason for this loss seems to be our starters played too much and ran out of gas at the end. I hope JVG could play the bench more.
