It's incredibly funny to me. It was the same situation with Faried. At the end of the day, if these players still belonged in the NBA, they would still be in the NBA.
It was only an example of Morey and how he treated players in a spreadsheet manner, and Stone seems to be more personal.... It is not about Dmo. DD
There was a women on a podcast leading up to the draft who said ", John wall was putting players on danger so they had to sit him" when that was an obvious lie, rockets simply wanted to go with the young guys and wall was not in the future. Media looking for any reason to stir up ****.
nice thread derail but beautiful highlights. such potential in that era, but this Stone era shaping up to be a nice one
Did not intend for it to derail, it was just a great example of Morey vs Stone. Also, guarantee Stone won't say **** about Taiwan....lol DD
I like what Stone is doing. . .. While we can talk player evaluations and stuff I think what Stone's greatest power is . . . . . . Dealing with Tilman I don't know if it is real but seems like Tilman has sat down and STFU more. If he thought CP3 had the WORSE CONTRACT IN BASKETBALL and told everyone Explain to me how allowing Wall to sit all last year and then buy him out this year was better? Talk about Wall being a professional all you want. . . STONE GOT TILMAN TO BUY IN AND SHUT HIS F***ING HOLE!!! IMO - Stone has gotten Tilman to understand how much he really does not know about running a franchise I give Tilman credit for finally listening Stone is Managing Up better than Morey IMO Stone sold Tilman on Building through the draft Meanwhile Morey could not Convince Le$ to tank . .like AT ALL Stone is working with Top 5 picks. . . Morey was working with another 6'9 combo forward at 14 at best Rocket River
We can talk about that in another thread, but that was some dirty stuff they pulled and it made us weaker...wasn't happy. DD
Hope Stone does not overpay for Tate. If re-signed, he won't be part of any trade packages anytime soon.
This kind of premature euphoria is also representative of why everyone here can't take enough Xanax when the team goes on a 3 game losing streak.
I mean, James Harden just declined a massive payout to work out a smaller contract to improve the Sixer's cap flexibility. I don't recall another GM convincing a player with a super max to decline a player option to benefit the team's cap situation.
Yeah and with my history of DMo etc.....I knew the point would get lost......where is Margrave when you need him? DD
