opps I meant In Rainbows. I was thinking about the Klaxons song Gravity's Rainbows. I had some beer last night. My mistake.
I thought the show was awesome. As always the band sounded incredibly tight and the crowd fed off of Thom's energy throughout the night. I gotta say, I was very impressed with the crowd and quite surprised that so many people were still hardcore Radiohead fans. I have never seen the woodlands that crowded and that into a show. My favorite of the night had to be You and Whose Army. The closeup camera right on his eye for the entire song was creepy and hilarious at the same time. I wish I was going to Dallas now.
thanks for the reviews.I am definitely looking into the soCal concerts. the Radiohead shows I have seen (3 times in the early 2000's era) have been some of the best concert experiences ever...
Unwar having a designated driver and inhaling draft beers. I'm just now getting out of bed. I hurt and my toilet is angry at me also. Said to quit coming in there with the ass juice. BTW- All I Need gave me goose bumps. Great friggin' song live.
They released some additional tickets yesterday before the show and I scored two on the right side, row N! Ticketmaster said they were obstructed view seats, but there was absolutely nothing between me and the stage. Awesome! And the show was great, too! I was especially impressed with the light show and the stage set design. Integrating the live video feeds into the light show was a great idea. Plus, Thom was a lot more animated than when I saw them on the OK Computer tour.
I loved the show, but was disappointed with the crowd, all they wanted to do was talk and take pictures of each other while they played their lesser known songs, it was annoying.
Apparently the Dallas set included Fake Plastic Trees and Exit Music (For Film) as well some other older stuff.
Went to the Dallas show last night in addition to the Houston show (4th row center at both ) Both shows were good, but the Houston show had a better setlist and a better crowd. Dallas did get The Bends and Paranoid Android was the closer, but Houston was just a bit better. I give both shows an A+ for how well they played and sounded, but both get a B for the setlists, which were a little too In Rainbow's heavy and not enough OK Computer and The Bends tunes. I've seen them 8 times now, and these two shows rank last in setlists, but are up there on how well Thom and the band sounded. And that set lighting, that was the coolest ****e ever!
I've still yet to hear Exit Music live! Paranoid Android as the closer? I would have dripped something down my leg...
Exit Music and Paranoid Android were the two that I was disappointed they didn't play here. Oh well, they could have played their entire library and it still wouldn't have made up for the fact that you had to be in Dallas to see it.
My friend who came along taped parts of the concert Here is Idioteque <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Gzq4hdJxDFE&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Gzq4hdJxDFE&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
