He did the right thing and left. Sam Malone sucked balls. Couldn't stand his annoying jokes and teenie bop talk when I lived in Houston. Glad he moved on. Have the same feeling.
i think it's interesting that so many of us dislike their show, yet they talk about themselves and parade like the city loves them?!? whenever i'm passing thru the station and i hear callers, they say something like "i love you guys...i don't know what i'd do without you..." and to me, they all sound like 15 yr olds. i dunno... i'm just glad others didn't fall for their rant the last 12 yrs.
The Arrow needs to get rid of Dean and Rog. I tell ya, that station just doesn't play enough Led Zeppelin songs... Maybe Dean and Rog need to jump to AM and host "The Corrugated Cardboard Hour" to more closely match their personalities
You want agony... you listen to Kidd Kraddick's show. Jesus Christ you almost want to swerve off the road and kill yourself after listening to Kid Kraddick and Kelly Rasberry for an hour or two. His show is catered to soccer mom types.
The morning show on 94.5 is surprisingly good. I couldn't stand the old guys, but Rod Ryan is pretty entertaining. Thats where I usually switch to if 610 is running one of those gulf coast windows commercials which they seem to do every 10 minutes. I can't stand that lady that tells us how they did a "Very professional job, I'm hard to please, cleanup was great, blah blah blah SHUT UP LADY!"
I think they are funny, especially Dean. He is funny as hell. It's pretty mellow, dry humour, but that's why I like it. It's like people I would hang out with. They don't have to yell or talk real fast like the other annoying djs... The music format is out of their hands.
DoD, I know you're into XM, but there isn't any other talk shows in Dallas that you can listen to. The Steve Harvey morning show is filled w/ so many damn commericials. His nephew Tommy is the only funny one on the show. The only other morning talk show I would listen to is Mike and Mike on 103.3 ESPN.
weren't they the most listened to morning show in Texas? i'm never really up to listen to morning shows and i'd rather hear music anyway, but i never really had a problem with these guys versus any other show. they could be fun to listen to sometimes if i was still up at that time. although i'd put dean and rog ahead of them (i love the birthday scam, some people just get so pissed so fast), and probably walton and johnson.

Its about freaking time. That station needs to get some DJs that have the personality of that station. Grown Ups pretending to be teenie boppers is not cool. They need someone more like your typical MTV VJ on there. All of their DJs are just too old....sorry
