1560 streams through angelfire?!?!? Geez. They can't even afford a real web host?

No wonder their stream is never working! They should hire a real web admin over there (like me :) )

Their bad promos have to stop. I realize they are trying to introduce the hosts to H-town, but they aren't funny and there's too many of them. Just play some music and let the hosts start talking.

So I was heading to a lunch meeting today....and I turn on 1560...and Justice's show is on. Most of you know I'm anything but a Richard Justice fan.

But he has on Drayton...followed by Peter Gammons...followed by Jayson Stark.

    Fellas, that's pretty damn strong.

I was looking forward to Ken Hoffmans show cause I had a chance to listen to it today.

It started out strong. Sean was on working an extra shift, cause he probably has to buy a new wardrobe.

I went to lunch, and came back and what the hell happened. Wow that was boring.

    lawyer talk?

    lawyer talk?

Still can't pick up Granato early in the morning. Does the signal get better as the day goes along?? I get the afternoon show fine.

Has anyone had any luck getting the online stream to work? I can't seem to get anything going with that.

I've listened to his show online twice now, and I'll give credit where credit is due:

Justice the radio host is light years ahead of Justice the blogger/columnist/espn-talkinghead. He gets good guests, provides good context, asks good questions, then lets the guest provide good info. I can't believe I'm saying this: he might be the best source of info on Houston sports radio right now.

It's everything his writing should be, but isn't.

But I've only listened for about 2 hours; I, like Richard, reserve the right to completely change my opinion at the drop of a hat.

I've been listening to him, too. The name dropping is killing me, but as background sound at work, it doesn't totally suck.

His Tony LaRussa man-love is a little over the top. He really needs to know his audience. Why do Astros fans need to keep hearing about what a class organization the Cardinals are?

He did drop a little Rockets talk in there. I guess that was nice.

I'm with you. If you can get over the stomach heaves from hearing him say out loud over and over again, "Peter, you and I have been friends for a long time", it's quite good. I thought he was gonna ask Gammons to wear his letter jacket yesterday.

Yeah, I should have added: the constant references to himself are just about completely annoying. That part, at least, hasn't changed.

    We get it already, Richard.

Yeah. Justice's rolodex is one of the strongest parts of our station. He books Drayton McLane, Peter Gammons and Jayson Stark. Meanwhile, John and I did have Kige Ramsey and Corey Haim last Friday. (Although we also got Jim Palmer yesterday, so it wasn't total Train Wreck Guest List last few days.)

We're gonna be doing a promo soon where we admit getting big leagued by Corey Feldman (which is a true story).

Some of the interviews should be podcasted on the site now for those who have missed them. If you guys want to get in on our NFL gauntlet, email us an NFL haiku (or several if you so choose) to seanandjohn@1560thegame.com. Grand prize is trip for two to the Golden Nugget for Super Bowl. Hope to see whoever can make it out at Ragin Cajun tomorrow afternoon - the one on Richmond.

My reception inside the city sucks. It's unlistenable from that standpoint for me. Couldn't really say anything about the programming because I have such a hard time getting it to come in clearly.
