True, but Rondo's been the better player for a longer period of time. You'd think that they would have similar values on the market. I think Plowman said something along the lines of "it will cost less than you think" when referring to Dragic to Houston.
Why would the celtics do this.. You already got Bradley, James Young and Evan Turner at the two. No need to add Ben Mac.
To my unsourced way of thinking, it isn't whether Rondo or Dragic or Bledsoe is signed for more $$$s or fewer than the others but rather the signability of the player (acquired) by THE ROCKETS. To buy into Mr PM then one also buys into a Dragic already being in place at the time of the deal. To buy into what Rondo has been quoted as saying he wants to test free agency.
With what? Asik and... oh wait. Pars--- no. Well, there's always that Pellies pick if Boston is willing to wait a year for something as good as McLemore is now.
"Talk" had been that Sac was trying to acquire JSmoove to attract his good buddy Rondo. Thus, my (unsourced) 2 + 2 wondering if this was in the cards. And, if so, would that break SVG's logjam enabling a re-signing of GMonroe in Piston City?
Same. People like a big name, but ignore that Rondo would be a terrible fit next to Harden on offense. Even if he had a competent three pointer- we'd be paying the max for a 3&D player. Since both him and Harden need the ball in their hands.
How could we even match salary for Rondo without giving up too much? Bev is a better fit, if not a better player, and much cheaper. If anything, wait for milsap to shake loose
