    Exactly.

Hill, Terrence & Thabeet playing well is great for our future trade prospects. I completely agree.

So Thabeet is looking a lot worse now whereas T Will is looking a lot better.

The only player I'm impressed with so far is Jordan Hill. 8 offensive rebound in 24 minutes is very impressive. Granted, it could be one of those days where the ball bounces to him every time, but he is looking pretty good.

I was refering to Cato more as an object lession in the danger of making a judgement on a player's long term prospects on the basis of one preseason game.

this is just as much a knee jerk reaction thread as the twill tnot thread is, except that this one is positive so it gets positive ratings you guys are so predictable

thabeet is getting absolutely raped by splitter
he has no hands and is so slow on rotations it doesn't really make sense he got so many minutes

This is all that Thabeet has to do. He doesn't have to be a scoring machine. Just hustle big man!!!!

The videos we saw in training camp were mostly shot after they had been practicing already so Thabeet looked tired in all of them.

He looked pretty decent - enough to keep him coming in off the bench.

For someone who didn't have much of a training camp, He looked pretty good. Now it remains to be seen if he can continue that effort. One thing though, he really does have hands of stone.

He really needs to get more rebounds. That part is somewhat ridiculous.

In watching thabeet for the first time today I was reminded of yao ming... no not the yao ming we grew to love but the yao that broke into the league oh so many years ago... he doesnt jump straight up, he keep his hands up, he doesnt finish strong... lucky for yao he had van gundy and patrick ewing come along and teach him how to do those things.. if thabeet can develop yaos work habit and use mchale as his teacher I really dont see why he cant be a servicable center who can get 1-2 blocks a game, 7-8 rebounds .... he kept a few balls alive just by tipping them and thats just staying active

Thabeet has moments, but those moments are so simplistic it's almost funny. I mean, we get shocked when he catches a pass and finishes near the rim.

He's okay in maybe spurts - like 2-3 minute stretches - but he's deplorable. Too mechanical. It's almost like he was forced to play basketball simply because he's tall. He doesn't seem to have any passion for the game or a desire to get better.

    He needs to go.
