Why are you stealing other people's work again? Somebody else engineered this theme before you did, doofus.

    Barack the Magic Negro Lyrics

Barack the Magic Negro lives in D.C.
The L.A. Times, they called him that
‘Cause he’s not authentic like me.
Yeah, the guy from the L.A. paper
Said he makes guilty whites feel good
They’ll vote for him, and not for me
‘Cause he’s not from the hood.

See, real black men, like Snoop Dog,
    Or me, or Farrakhan
Have talked the talk, and walked the walk.
Not come in late and won!

Oh, Barack the Magic Negro, lives in D.C.
The L.A. Times, they called him that
‘Cause he’s black, but not authentically.
Oh, Barack the Magic Negro, lives in D.C.
The L.A. Times, they called him that
‘Cause he’s black, but not authentically.

    Some say Barack’s “articulate”
And bright and new and “clean.”
The media sure loves this guy,
    A white interloper’s dream!
But, when you vote for president,
Watch out, and don’t be fooled!
Don’t vote the Magic Negro in –
    ‘Cause —

’Cause I won’t have nothing after all these years of sacrifice
And I won’t get justice. This is about justice. This isn’t about me, it’s about justice.
It’s about buffet. I don’t have no buffet and there won’t be any church contributions,
And there’ll be no cash in the collection plate.
There ain’t gonna be no cash money, no walkin’ around money, no phoning money.
Now, Barack going to come in here and ........

It was the President L.B.J and the Northern Liberal Democrats in office who eventually helped Martin Luther King and the other civil rights leaders such as those in the Southern Christian Leadership Conference pass the voting rights act of 1965 and the civil rights act of 1964. The groups that where opposing these rights were conservatives, and southern democrats known as dixiecrats, who are now voting vote Republican in the south. Hence, blacks have been voting for the party who has shown the most interest in there issues since.

Actually, no, it's basic statistics. Again, define "far more people".

as noted above, your methodology is flawed (and i notice you failed to respond there, going back a few points to post an irrelevant rejoinder). fix it, then recalculate- then see if you still want to try and make this argument.

I haven't used any methodology yet - you were responding to someone else. My argument doesn't involve any of that. It involves basic statistics. You, on the other hand, are continuing to ignore an extremely basic question on a claim you made earlier. Why is that?

You apparently need to go out and read more. There are plenty of highly regarded economists and financial professionals who believe in Obama's platform (not the strawmen you threw out in your turd of a post).

Reading comprehension rocks dude. You need to get you some of that.

So you believe that a significant number of white people voted for Barack Obama because he was black that would not have voted for him otherwise, right?

Ok, no problem. Please throw out a ballpark figure for the percentage of whites you think did that. I put my ballpark into my estimate already (my ballpark being about 0.1% of whites). But I'd be happy to adjust the numbers if you have a different idea.

Please note that there are larger fallacies in that scenario if we are trying to compare it exactly to what happened in the election, but the point was to show how difficult it would be for your statement to be correct. Note that in my current scenario, the CNN survey question could have been answered 76%-24% in favor of Obama for people who thought race was important, and yet 5 is not far more than 9.

Oh, and feel free to answer the other question. (Or anybody else who agrees with basso can feel free to chime in, I'm still curious.)

Don't forget some moderate Republicans helped, as well. People like Senate Minority Leader Everett Dirksen. Yes, the GOP used to have moderates in leadership positions. Now, Republican moderates are almost an extinct species. Bummer.

to be fair, democrats have helped make them extinct by targeting them in elections.

Just remember moron. People stayed in Houston when powerful Ike hit, does that mean their stupid too. Many people didnt have a means to leave New Orleans. There wasnt buses leaving to take people away for free until after the storm hit.

Houston wasn't in anywhere near the danger NO was in, but yes, the people who stayed in Bolivar or Galveston were stupid.

I'm glad that W. was kind enough to drive the buses to get the white folks out of Texas though.

    TONTO,
That's because Mayor Nagin, a Democrat, lined up all the buses below the flood plain and they were rendered inoperable as a result. Smart move, huh,? But of course it's Bush's fault, since Kanye said so.

I don't see why this is an issue. The article clearly says race wasn't a decisive issue in the election.

The means to leave were available meaning they just chose to stay. That wasnt the case for many people there. I understand where you're coming from regarding Galveston, but many of them had a means to leave.
