Not a big fan of Charlie V, he's a chucker. Kinda like a poor man's Antoine Walker, and I'm not a fan of him either.

I watched Mac vs the Cavs and Hornets he looked like as Bill Worrell said he's playing on two flat tires. If the Lakers do this deal and we can get Odom + Walton or Mihm I do this deal in a heart beat. Maybe we gift the Lakers a title by doing this but Mac is done in Houston.

How many minutes do you think Charlie Villanueva would get on this Rockets team?

Landry hasn't sat out of any games due to the knee this year.

I like Landry, but if we can add more versatility to the PF spot, by having another option there that can stretch the defense, I think you do it.

Landry is not starter material, at least not yet, his defense is pretty poor, but he is a great finisher, and very quick for a 6'8" PF....

Honestly, it seems the team is trying to fix things that are not broken.....Tmac is a problem (his health or head) and Rafer is the other.....we have an answer for the Rafer issue, we just need to phone Adelman....or maybe take a break to his head.

People seeing what they want to see, prepping themselves to "make room" for the possible newcomer.

Think about it the other way too -
If the Rockets already had Villanuevea & Mihm, would the Rockets trade them for Landry & Head? Part of me says yeah cuz it'd be more "Moneyball" getting the more efficient Landry who hustles more and plays bigger. Part of me no cuz losing size would hurt.

Villanueva is like a taller skinnier Artest on offense with 1/30th the defense, passing, and heart.

If this trade does happen, it will probably happen on Wednesday when the Bucks come into town.

    Well, my feeling is mixed.
If we are getting back CV and Mihm back for a sub PF and end of rotation guy, I can't complain much. We need size up front quick. I don't know if Mihm is done. If he still can play 10 min or so, he will be Ok for us.

CV and Landry. CV can create his own shot. He just needs to be leashed. The guy is a very poor defender, but Landry is not a lock-down guy either. Landry right now fits into our system pretty well, so we definitely are trying to get rid of him.

I thought Luther's K is expiring, if so, he shouldn't be that hard to trade away. If we can get some picks from Luther I will be happy.

This is a 50-50 trade in my book. I am just not sure how effective CV will be in our system. If he can do well here, he has more talent than Landry IMHO.

I have had CV on my fantasy team all year, so I periodically look at Bucks message boards to see how he's perceived. They hate him. He gets sporadic playing time. He can score. Supposedly the coach doesn't trust him so he doesn't really get playing time consistently, especially during winnable games. This is just the feeling I'm getting lately. I don't watch him play so it's all online opinions, published opinions, and stats. But the more the Bucks have won lately, the less CV has played. Take it for what it's worth.

Yea i agreed that CV has more upside than Landry. He has more skills than Landry such as assisting, blocking, and his driving and dunking is just as explosive if not more explosive than Landry (i watched the highlights from Youtube). But VC has more...he can post up and drive and has the ability to create his own shot. Both players are very quick when it comes to rise up and dunk. And i guess since we have too many power forward...maybe this is a good move.

But Landry is just as good though....his jump shot is more deadly this year than ever. He is still explosive to the basket...i know where someone get the idea that he's not. So i don't really know about this trade.

For every one game CV played like an all star, he disappears in another 20 games. The guy has NO HEART.

Landry has the heart and work ethic that CV doesn't have. CV is can light it up on offense but lacks heart.

Wow it's like trading Steve Francis for Tmac.
