Head+Landry can net a better player than Villanueva, especially around the deadline.
Head+Landry cannot net a PF good enough to start over Scola.

I just don't get why some of you are so excited about this trade... We lose two rotation players for a single mediocre backup with less upside than Landry.

And have Head as the backup PG? I think either Scola or Landry has to go? I rather have Scola.

I want the type of player that plays with heart no matter how bad his franchise is or where it's located.

The last time we got a player like that, we ended up hoping the rumors weren't true. We see how that's working out.

I think you guys are really not seeing the need for height.. Yes Landry and V (I think) are a wash when it comes to offense. But the other question you guys should ask yourselves is this.. Do we win it all now, next year or wait for 2010 off season? If your wanting to win it all now or next year then you need height especially in the west.. There is no damn way you are going to beat the Lakers.

There Center,Power Forward,Small Forward = Bynum,Gasol,Odom are all 6"11 and up. That is (in the whole damn league) the tallest inside game and very skilled. They would demolish us in a 7 games series us wining maybe one.

Now if your waiting for 2010 then don't do the deal because there is a guy named Chris Bosh who might help in 2010..

You need height with skills to be effective in the West let alone the NBA Finals. So don't kid yourselves thinking that with the current team we can go all the way.

No, I'd love to get rid of Head, too. Find a scrub to bring in to back up Brooks as part of any deal. Alston is terrible.

That is why I was comparing the Rox to the Celtics (Celtics will be in final). The team now will not win it all, that is the goal.

The Rockets would also get better interior defense, which is much needed.

I am sorry if you think we can't beat the Lakers now there is no way adding a backup PF who barely plays on one of the worst teams in the NBA is going to change that outcome.

Feigen is far more likely to be right on this than any outside source. This sounds like an entirely made up story.

Ok, this post confirms my belief that the majority of people here make players out to be simply what they want them to be.

If you think he fits us better on offense, fine. But 99% of these posts talking about how this deal would somehow improve us defensively or give us height to match up with Boston/LA are absolutely hilarious.

nothing we add this season will make us a championship team. we need OFFENSE, efficient offense, preferably a go-to scorer who we can rely on. we all know we can't rely on t-mac and yao. our stars are too flawed to begin with.

6'11" CV plays like a 6'5" scrub and his offensive game as PF is more like Rafer's offensive game as PG.

PS: What could they possibly butt heads about. Seems to me this is a regurgitated narrative pertaining to this summer's contract negotiations.

    This story is complete BS.

Its likely Villanueva +Mihm, i know Mihm may not mean much, but that's a better trade than just Cv for head and landry. I'm not sure why you think Landry has more upside than Villanueva...i think its pretty clear CV has a higher ceiling.

I'd do scola instead of Landry. Scola can't guard big guys his size, guys smaller, or guys bigger. He can't guard anyone, can't finish around the rim either. He's a bench guy just like rafer and shane.

Andrew Bogut may have be commenting on Damon Jones return or an upcoming trade. As their franchise player he would have some inside knowledge.

The actual CharlieV-Landry trade rumor was first reported by Gery Woelfel the main Bucks beat reporter.
