First off, I started this thread more just for information than to start a forum on racism and bigotry.

I have heard all kinds of things attributed to the parties involved in this affair. I have read 100's of posts and articles on the subject and so far I have not heard one single direct quote attributed to the girl, no press conference, no press release, nothing. The sheriff filed charges based on her and other testimony and a lot of physical evidence. Kobe was quick to admit adultery, but I never heard the girl say she had any consenual sex. A lot of people on this thread have admitted it for her, however. So far, it does not make any sense to point a finger at either one of them.

There just isn't enough information available to make a decision unless:

    0. You know information not in evidence, which is improbable since the information has been locked up.
    1. You are a bigot and don't really care what the evidence shows.
    2. You have some sort hidden agenda.
    3. You are just trying to stir things up for the hell of it.
    4. You are just not bright enough to realize you are not too bright.
    5. You believe all the inuendo, hearsay, and rumors going around.
    6. You add any other reason you can think of.

On the other hand if Kobe is found guilty, she might feel entitled too compensation for the pain and suffering and humiliation she has suffered. I would be inclined to give her some financial compensation because that is the only kind you can give her.

Agreed. I think it's a given that she will sue if he's convicted. If he's acquitted or found not guilty and she still sues, then I contend that this entire affair was all about the benjamins.

Im willing to take credit for #3 but gommer4life is responsibly for 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6. I thought the thread was about the race card being dealt in kobe case so I wanted to show everyone just what kind of result that has on some, but not all blacks who are willing to take kobes side no matter what. thats the whole point of using the race card to begin with. Right? As long as someone keeps making it a race issue everytime they get accused of doing something wrong then we will all suffer many more years of racism. Everytime someone mentions racism the finger is allways pointed at white people. So who is the real racist, the white people or the finger pointers? That aint saying that there aint racist white people because there are but there are alot of racist black people too,and neither one are right but because of kobe getting himself in a jam and looking to take the focus off of his own wrong doing he is willing to cause more hatred among whites and blacks to save his own skin. Believe me he knew what he was doing, because you have seen a perfect example of what effect it has. Have you not? I am not a racist but sometimes you have to get under someones skin to find out what they really think. There are alot of white people that I cant stand and there are alot of black people that I like. I mean you dont think that I like basketball because of the coaching do you? Ive been busted for pot and they didnt say oh your white you can go and we will just wait for a black man. I wish I could have cried racism but the cop was white. If I hadnt been doing wrong to begin with then I wouldnt have gotten busted to begin with.period. The same thing should aply to kobe no matter what race he is. If in the end all the evidence shows that he is innocent and yet he is found guilty then he has a right to say its an injustice, but not before the trial even starts. The law is only following the same procedures that they would for anyone accused of rape.

Im not saying its right for there to be racial tension on this topic but get real, theres gonna be when you start a thread about THE RACE CARD and not about THE KOBE CASE like you say your really interested in instead. If you cant stomach it then dont start it. I got wraped up in all this because of the topic you started and by some stupid racist. At least we stayed on the topic for the most part. You had to have at least had some concern over race playing a part in this case or you wouldnt have started this thread to begin with, but now you want to change the subject and think you have the right to call us names. get off your high horse and get in the trenchs, or close the thread and end it all.
