Wasnt it malcom x who said that the way to get to the white man is to get the white women? I think its more than safe to assume that your way of thinking is more racist than theirs is.

how do taxpayers get soaked when people buy books?

pay the judge??? pay the investigators?? their pay is set, my friend. whether they take this case or not.

a pox on all your houses?? aren't you assuming that both broke the law here? you're assuming, at the same time...that she's an outright liar and he's a rapist...you can't have it both ways.

you have a beef against the legal system? fine. but at least make sense. "taxpayers...blah blah blah....crooked judges...blah blah blah...taxpayers....blah blah blah..dollars...blah blah." it's nonsensical.

so should we stop paying for a criminal justice system because it inconveniences taxpayers?? you haven't even heard the evidence presented in court and you're already rushing to judgment and making assumptions. long live due process.

OK, the exchange between gamer4life and mikedane is starting to get silly.

Gamer needs to accept the fact that for a great many white people in this country, in situations such as the one Kobe finds himself ensnared in, the mere ACCUSATION of wrongdoing is proof enough of guilt. It's doubly true when the accused is a black male. Unfair? Perhaps but that's just the way it is and it's not about to change anytime soon.

Mike misunderstood Kobe's actions after being accused. Simply put, Kobe is running scared. For the first time in his privileged existence, he's faced with the consequences of his skin color. For all of his fame and wealth and status, he now understands what it's really like to be a black male in this society and he's frightened because his money and status cannot shield him. So he starts quoting MLK and such. From my personal experience, that is a typical reaction (remember OJ?).

Both of you guys need to accept the fact that this case has all of the naughty elements: race, sex, fame, infidelity and wealth. The press will be short-stroking this for the next year and beyond. Every opportunist will be jumping onboard to further their own individual agendas: white-supremists, womens rights advocates, civil rights advocates and so on. None of this is relevant or real and has nothing to do with the truth at all. Just accept this for the circus that it is and don't try to read too much into it or attach too much significance to these events.

this is my new favorite post.

ummm..when you say judges are "paid", as if they're benefitting from this in some way...that kinda implies they're crooked. that's certainly what i read into his post.

we're talking rape allegations here. we haven't seen the evidence yet...but we're hearing about things like blocking her exit from the room...physical injury...tearing...emotional reaction, thereafter. you can ignore that all you like in your disdain for the legal system...but i'm betting if it happened to a female relative you wouldn't feel that way.

Again, you're assuming I'm talking about white people. I'm talking about a homogeneous society, which includes a society that's all white, or a society that's all black.

Anyways it seems that you're too stupid to have an intelligent discussion.

Well that's pretty much my point. It is unfair to equate accusation to guilt.

If she did not have any possibility of financial gain, I would lean towards her side because she would not have a strong motive. The fact that millions of dollars are at stake makes my opinion more 50/50. I've heard many people who have said that Kobe is getting the benefit of the doubt because he's a star. But it seems that the opposite is true - he's getting the guilty label before the trial has already begun and that is wrong.

In my opinion, the girl has a stronger motive for lying than Kobe has for raping so it confounds me that people are taking the girl's version of events as solid fact without considering the possibility that she isn't telling the truth.

Again, this is not a verdict on Kobe's innocence for all you dumbasses that cannot read.

So i suppose that when she was getting her vagina tore up that she was saying come on big boy give me some more. That would be like someone putting your head in a vise and you telling telling them to keep cranking it tighter. but i suppose that you are so feeled with hate that no matter how much someone with some real sense talks to you you cant comprehend it . I read people real good and there definately aint no mystery reading you.

It may be unfair but that's just the way things are.

IF (and that's a BIG IF) this is all about the money, then the smart play for the girl and her contingent would be to wait until the criminal process is done and then file a civil suit ala what happened in the OJ spectacle. Should that indeed occur, then maybe we'll know what this whole episode was REALLY about.

Your the one contradicting yourself within you own posts idiot. you gave two choices of societies(black and white)and i know your not refering to the black society. If you cant stand the heat get out of the kitchen dumbass. maybe you should run for office since you seem to have a real knack for avoiding the real issue.
