By Mid Season:- Yao Ming Scola Mc Grady Francis Brooks Hayes, Butler Battier Wells James, Head Alston RESERVES: Mutombo,Snyder and Landry Mutombo will see limited playing time till the playoffs
This is one of the big faults in Steves game! He is always waiting to try and get rebounds instead of moving down the court and getting the ball to an open man. Under Coach A he won't get away with this as he will have to move down the court very quickly to be in the next play.
I think. First I thought Francis would be the startin' pg but now when i think about that i'm pretty sure that mike james will start. why? cause adelman wanted him and he's a better shooter. of course steve is great and i really think he can be our killer commin' of the bench
Since Brooks hasn't proven himself yet, he will have to work his way into the rotation. Same thing for Landry and Butler.
Who starts will be determined by who plays better off the bench. That won't be Steve. Steve has proven to be terrible off the bench and MJ plays very well off the bench. IMO if Steve has to come off the bench we will wish we didn't pick him up or we will trade him.
It will all depend. If Mike plays great he'll start and the same thing with other guards. But it won't be suprisin' if Mike will start
The rotation could be Yao, Scola, Battier, Tmac, SF3, James, Hayes, Bonzi, Butler. Deke looks like he is going to enjoy the season without playing much hence the primary backup for yao could be butler. Anyway about the starting PG, with the JVG system last season, James would be the better fit, but with the new system where Tmac would get position to score via drive or shoot, a penetrating PG would be a better fit, hence SF3. Looking at our roster, i do suspect serious small ball, especially against fast paced teams like Suns, Warriors, Denver. Hence i do see hayes and scola combine for around 50-55 min a game.
RAlston already had 9-10 players at guard in his mind in front of him on the roster...jk I'm not as high on the deal anymore of Francis coming back, but I hope my recently formed skepticism is proven wrong... I feel M James SHOULD start, which would make excellent roster balance with Francis and Bonzi on the 2nd team. But I think it might not happen, to appease Francis with his All-Star history, past ties to the team, friendship with Yao, etc... Even the current version Francis I still like the potential what it could mean for the team - Of all the people on the team he can be either the most appreciative, charismatic and motivated player who can create a sense of identity and purpose. Or, he's the one with the highest propensity to pout and sulk out of everyone. And basketballwise just can't afford to have dribble-mania with the 1st unit and the kind of offense being implemented, and I hope he realizes that and has learned. Yao's the spotlight character, but its Tracy running the show. Francis needs to be the occasional scene stealer and rely on timing and the script to come to him, & everyone else playing the bit roles Came out of the woodworks with some Rafer support there. I just dont want to think of Mike James and Rafer Alston on the bench together, watching Francis playing what they think should be their spot and all the connections they have between themselves already. Rafer must go
1. T-Mac 2. Yao 3. Battier 4. Scola 5. Francis 6. MJ 7. Hayes 8. Bonzi 9. Head 10. Brooks 11. Deke 12. Butler 13. Landry 14. Novak 15. Harris
Didnt Adelman say that the player that he has been most impressed been with thus far is luther head?. luther has grasped the concept of our new offense faster then anyone else. this bodes real well for luther. he has allways been alot more then just a shooter. he's a keeper.
