Detroit said Cade had a minor ankle sprain, yet we ain’t seen him in weeks no preseason, missed most of training camp, and will get thrown into regular season play…could be rough for him starting out
I think this class is going to be a very strong draft class. I honestly could see 5 perennial all-stars...and that's between like 10 different guys. We were fortunate to have so many picks in this particular class
This year and next was the right time to tank. High caliber young players. Let's enjoy them all and not let a **** throwing contest get in the way of enjoying the future of the NBA, regardless of who you wanted us to draft - including Green
Didn't scout Duarte due to time constraints, but he's looked very good. Davion's on ball defense I knew about and if we hadn't moved up to get Sengun I wanted to trade up to get him. Barnes looks like he might end up being Giannis lite after all if he really hits his potential. Green and Mobley I've discussed many times, but Suggs hasn't broken out yet and Cade has been injured. Great draft class so far.
The production from this class is crazy. whoever wins ROY it's going to be by a razor's edge. Rocket going to have to feed Green like Kobe if he is going to compete.
That's the beauty of his game so far -- it seems like he can get his points in the flow of the offense without having specific plays run for him. Ultimately and hopefully that's what it ends up being.
The rookies putting up these numbers left and right is annoying. A decade ago a rookie having one of these 20+ ppg games in their first week of action would be the talk of the NBA, now days you got 5+ players doing it, a new "youngest play to X" every year. The offensive stats just start to feel empty, everybody and their mama is blowing up the box score these days.
