I find it weird that the death of the Crocodile Hunter actually bummed me out, but it did.

    Ignore him.

Are you sure this was necessary?

The pathetic attempts at morbid humor are just plain insensitive. :(

And for once I agree with Sam Fisher 100%. ;)

Fatty, it was a weeeee bit humorous nonetheless.

there's way too much of this crap all of a sudden. what's with that?

if fatty offends you, report him. move on. whatever. he says crap that i find myself rolling my eyes at, literally, all the time. but to call out a man's relationships, particularly that with his son??? seriously?? your crap better smell like roses if you're willing to throw stones like that.

i find it par for the course. gotta take what you give and like Fatty said, what he finds funny others find offensive. if that's the case, he shouldn't have a problem with this.

unless you are calling out Fatty for his crudeness too, i don't see why DoD would deserve criticism. although i do agree, it's getting out of hand.

absolutely. i think Fatty's comments are entirely inappropriate. his "advice" to folks here makes me cringe. but the comments directed at Fatty aren't just inappropriate or offensive...they're personal. that's entirely different to me. he's sought this place out as a community to vent crap about relationships...i'd say it's bad form to turn that against him.

Good to see this thread has followed the same pattern as every other thread in the history of the internets. Three to four pages of good discussion of the topic and one off the wall comment that brings all of the attention onto one poster; congrats Fatty you win at the interweb.

    RIP Croc Man :(

To those other than Fatty that I offended, my apologies, but I'm just out to prove a point/make a statement. Sometimes it takes being an ass to communicate with a self-proclaimed ass. I've sat by watching people make a mockery and ridicule the deaths of people like Irwin, Mother Teresa, Princess Di, etc. All people who have done more for this planet than 99% of the jokesters that make light of their deaths. I guess I kind of had enough.

Lighten up people, I'm sure Fatty understands - if he can dish it out, I'm sure he can take it as well. It's all just humor and the world is one big joke, after all, right? We're all such easy targets.

Also, MadMax, "personal" is what you make it. Many people find the actions Irwin took towards conservation and the deeds he did with hard work to be admirable. Hell, I'm not much of a "nature freak" or a conservationist, but had nothing but respect for this man, his drive, ambition, and obsession for a good cause. To those people it's "personal" when he's attacked for no other reason than to provide a punchline.

And to answer your question, SJC : yes, it was necessary. Now ask Fatty if his comments were "necessary".

I don't think they were, but MadMax pointed out the difference already.

Steve Irwin was a funny dude.
I liked his ESPN Commercial when he tackled the Florida Mascot.

Cant be too sad, he had a great life!

*sigh*. I can take it. It wasn't a huge biggie. I know my relationship with my son more than anyone else. Talked to him for 45 minutes last night, so :p

As for relationships, he's correct, as of now. But I feel I have learned from them all. Time will tell.

And as for croc man: I think he was a great guy, also. Similar to the Challenger and Columbia Astronauts. To me, you can joke about these things and still have respect for the lives they lived. They're not mutually exclusive to me, personally.

Fair enough, but at least consider there are people out there you'd be offending with your remarks. If that means nothing to you, then oh well, I'm sure I can't change that. Sure everyone is offended by something and you can't watch your words with everything you say, but to come into a "tribute thread" of sorts for this man and adding what you did was classless. To that effect, my statements were classless as well, I admit, but saying "gosh Fatty, you mean ol' butthead" wouldn't have gotten the point across... at least I don't think so.

BTW, nice to see you apparently can take it as you dish it out.

    Anyway, I'm done with this.
