    Ex-Oiler Steve McNair reportedly shot to death

    WTFV in Nashville is reporting on their Web site that former Tennesee Titans quarterback Steve McNair has been killed.

    Police said McNair suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head in downtown Nashville.

    WTVF reported the incident happened at 2nd South & Lea Ave. in Nashville.

    Police said it looked like a double homicide. A female victim was also found dead.

    if Bud Adams didn't move the Oilers, Steve McNair would still be alive.

    I'm incredibly saddened by this news. He was my favorite player for a long time. He was even my very first draft pick in my first fantasy football season. I was a Titans fan because of him. He was an all-time class act, and one hell of a QB. A true example of how black QBs can star in the NFL with both their legs and their arms. He is the greatest player in the Titans brief history.

    Hopefully your jersey is retired, and good luck to his son who will plays WR as a senior in HS. I hope to see him in the NFL one day.

    he was my first fantasy draft pick. in 00, didn't even play him. this news affects me more than mike jackson. what is about murder and the nfl?

    Damn. I still remember how excited I was when the Oilers drafted this guy. He turned out to be a great nfl QB as well.

    First assumtion would be the girl had some psycho ex-boyfriend, but who knows. RIP
