i need to go rewatch all the connery bonds, but whats yalls favorite? to me, goldfinger is the obvious #1. its kind of the quintessential bond movie with so many classic, memorable lines, overbearing bad guy with desires of global domination, girl with ridiculous name (p***y galore!!!), gadgets and with all due respect to jaws, the best bad guy-side kick in oddjob. you only live twice is also a really good one. lots of bond kicking ass and those two cute karate girls who could beat the crap out of everyone. also that it takes place in japan, which provided lots of cool scenery and backgrounds. i dont know how his japanese man disguise would go over in todays PC/anti-cultural appropriation times though...
Ah yellow face.. Always a good reminder of why the 1960's weren't groovy for many. Sorry Deckard.. On a related it's sometimes shocking watching not just the Bond movies from then but other movies about how women were treated. I rewatched the original Robert Altman M*A*S*H a few years ago and I think it would be almost impossible to make that movie now given how they treat Hotlips. Or for that matter call a military nurse with the rank of major "Hotlips"..
