WTH? He was supposed to release an album with Danger Mouse in 2009, but it never got released due to a legal snafu. His music was an unique sound, very mellow and calming. A brilliant musician. They are taking our indie musicians fast this year. RIP+
Never heard of him. I do like the songs. Seems like these really artistic types can be really conflicted and depressed. Maybe that's why they can make the art they do.

Damn...I am a huge Sparklehorse fan. "It's a Wonderful Life" is in my top 20 albums of all time. Sad...
it never got officially released, but its easily available. really good too - every song has a different singer and sometimes that can make an album uncohesive, but it worked perfectly on this - david lynch even sang a couple tunes. honestly, i cant say im too surprised he took his own life - suicide/death has always been a theme in his music. probably my best sxsw experience was a show w/ sparklehorse, flaming lips, mercury rev and grandadddy. 4 of my favorite american 90's alt-rock bands on one night!
