Here a tribute.... <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ly_CGin6QS8"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ly_CGin6QS8" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
I just heard about it.. I agree with imadrummer, James Brown is one of the most influential artists of the 20th C and its sad he's passing. The Godfather of Soul and the Hardest Working Man in Music. Rest in Peace.
Santa Clause, go straight to the ghetto Hitch up your raindeer ugh! Go straight to the ghetto RIP James Brown
I don't feel good. + Que En Paz Descanse el Padrino de Soul. My two girls were barely getting to know him... many movies they watched had at least one song... Mrs. Doubtfire being the one they remember the most.
You can take your Britney Spears/Justin Timberlake, million dollar, choreographed dances, ridiculous ticket prices concerts and shove it. James brought it 10x harder and a hell of a lot more entertaining. Nothing beats a REAL live performance. I'd also like to second his amazing influence in all of music today. I myself am a huge drum & bass fan (and aspiring producer) and his stuff frequently gets sampled (his drummers were excellent, of course).
RIP. One of my favorite singers. BTW, I saw Dreamgirls today (GREAT MOVIE) and couldn't help but think about JB while watching Eddie Murphy perform. He will be missed....
Am I the only one who thought of this song when I heard the news? <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/WgqmP0FSM88"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/WgqmP0FSM88" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
As many great tunes as JB has, it sucks that only "I Feel Good" and "Living In America" are the only 2 that get any real airplay. When those songs come on I usually turn to another station.
Well, I just saw Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Michael Jackson pay tribute to James Brown. I now think we will need a Monument or something built for Brown. Maybe alongside the upcoming MLK Memorial.
people take music way too seriously... it seems if you are a great musician then nothing else matters... i hate insulting the man since he's gone, but... cnn makes him sound like the greatest human being of all time....
so the guy made mistakes in life. who hasnt? at least he did something, he inspired people he was a humanitarian, and he loved his country what have u done ?
