This was the ONLY comic series I ever collected. I never cared about the worth of them, they could all be 1 cent total & I'd still keep them. But a recent ebay check shows the 1st 4 and last comic for whatever reason actually has risen in worth And Hell YEAH I'm checking out the movie this week! (Screw Beast Wars and any TF from the 90's on...) ..Well, we were kids. It kept us reading and (maybe) out of trouble. And more so probably girlfriend-less I do remember my little cousins having those cards and thought it looked fun. I was older but probably read the hero's attributes more than they did
Would someone please post a poll on their fav. comic book hero? I'd do it, but I've got my hands full with the damn song thing.
Or that Frank Miller graphic novel when Superman fights and "kills" Batman. They even brought him back at the end of the same novel. Didn't want to wait for future books or comics.
Ok, is it just me, or does that cover look like a dinosaur is trying to poke "DOG, the bounty hunter."???
in my opinion, batman and green archer are the only ones i like in DC, they are the only ones that have a lot of character, while the other heroes seem kind of generic. Always been more of a marvel guy because their characters have more layers,, ex. Spider-man isn't just a superhero, he's also peter parker, whereas clark kent is only superman masquerading as a normal person. Iron Man is much more tony stark than he is the armor although the conflicts and overlaps remains a constant character plot point. My favorite character (not really a hero at all) would be a C-list villain named Taskmaster. Photographic reflexes, the coolest power I've ever heard of. His classic costume is lame though, but his modern one is loads of awesome.
I get so sick of people theorizing...omg who would win...batman or superman..batman or this person. batman WOULD LOSE TO ANYONE WITH ANY SORT OF POWERS, OKAY? spiderman would kick batman's *ss. superman would. wolverine would. hulk DEFINITELY would. hell, captain america would. there is nothing..nothing..nothing batman could do to any of them. hell I'd venture to say freaking daredevil could beat batman, and he's blind. the only character batman wouldn't have issues with his punisher. or any of the power-less heroes. anyway, my favorite character is either hulk or iceman, it uses to be iceman hands down...I've warmed up to hulk a lot in recent years. oh yeah, human torch and thing are bad*sses too.
i think batman's advantage is that he can defeat almost anyone if he has time to prepare ie, figure out their weaknesses and exploit it. In a DC/Marvel crossover, batman went up against captain america and after they did a few sparring motions, batman accepted that cap was a superior fighter. At the end of the day, though, the biggest determination of who would win in a vs. match depends on who is writing the story.
