Jesus, I no longer want the Rockets to win games to make the playoffs, but so as I don't have to see these type of threads anymore... each new thread poster think they're on to something thats been a possiblity for a long time now.

I feel bad for Yao..he's playing his heart out (and out of his mind)..and I feel bad for Tracy. They deserve to have a good team sorrounding them :/ ...

I knew something was not right when Moochie got hurt in that game when he was playing a key role. Then you could see from afar that the god's were angry with us. I hope we appease the right party properlly before 2006/07 season.

What is left now if ofor us to watch Yao pile up some descent stats.

This season has been such a downer. So much much expectation coming off of last year had me all pumped and ready to go.

can't say i'm feeling overly confident but the fat lady hasn't started singing just yet. at least we have yao's emergence into dominance as a positive. people say yao can't carry a team on his own? what team? you want him to carry skip, head, bogans and jho to the playoffs? nobody, no superstar, should be expected to do that.

no point in going to the playoffs to be first round fodder, which is exactly what we will be without TMAC.

Yao finally dominating is our lone bright spot this year. Its time to get a good draft pick and continue to build around him. Hopefully Tmac is good to go for next year.

    Man this sucks.

    That's the problem.

The question is how do we get a better supporting cast without giving up one of our superstars? It shall not be done.

The draft/FA will only get you so much. We have no one good to trade other than Yao and T-Mac, and I don't want either of them gone.

From to-night's game , I feel disgusted and ashamed of what I just saw. I have just changed my thinking completely about what needs to be done. Firstly FIRE the scouting team- Who ever scouted Swift -to play POWER FORWARD and Alston to play the Playmaker Point Guard must me blind, deaf and dumb and have a low basketball IQ. Secondly FIRE C. Dawson who executed our offseason trades and signings he is not working for the benifit of giving us a decent team, only trying to put on a show and making mucho dollars for Les.
Thirdly FIRE Jeff Van Gundy, who can't coach a decent play on either end, and certainly can't make adjustments during the game, we are never going to win a championship with him at the helm. He can't even get Alston under control!
Fourthly Les Alexander should decide to make a big effort to get us a younger athletic team. If he isnt interested in spending the extra money to do so then he should sell the team to owners that will make the effort. This means a major policy change. Surrounding Yao & Tracy with has been scrubs of yesteryear isn't going to make it,for example the signing of Berry was heralded as a great move and addition to our team, who were they trying to kid? Berry at his peak was only a scrub and Wesley was only a great roll player but ten years earlier and too much was expected from him in his declining years. We never seem to really be building for the future only for the present. Having a coaching staff that can't coach or develop young players is no good in to-day's game, so forget Larry Brown or Phil Jackson they can't, at this late stage of their careers, develop/coach. Last offseason there were several players available who could have helped the Rox but we wouldn't pay them 4mill/yr as we insisted on getting the cheapest players available. This philosophy must change, or we can only expect poor mans basketball in Houston.

thats what we are going to see for quite a long time. we will let the prime years of tmac and yao go down the drain before ever realizing the dumb mistakes we are making.
