Sheee-oot, parner, I'll be cow-poled if'n I knowed what all this dang ol' accent talk is about. I done thought y'all spoke real proper-like. I actually never heard the interview, just can't resist the opportunity to type with an accent.

Awesome job Jeff!!! They should really have you on for more than one segment -- perhaps take some calls and things like that. Good call on the most significant BBS occurance!!!
rocketsfan34 is his name and oddly enough we sat next to each other when I went to watch the Rockets at the Summer Pro Leagues. Yes, yes.... it's true... I sat next to a legend.
Congrats again Jeff! I remember the time when I was a kid and got on the radio as a kid calling up Jerry Trupiano's talk show on KTRH. I'm guessing this is a bit more uh, cool, but still... ... but I sure don't remember much of an accent on you.
Is there anywhere (maybe a 610 website) where i can listen to a tape of the program? Sounds like it was very cool Jeff...wish I could have heard it live
sigh, you guys aren't doing enough transcribing of the quotes. I want to hear more about Jeff going CC.net Rabid on the Spurs and Jazz. Jeff's a good speaker and story teller, he could do a regular show for those guys, as long as they don't make him give up his day job here at cc.net. Speaking of controversies, Jeff, did you describe the Colin Pine controversy? lol Who's next representin? Will would be fun. He could make us sound smart.
I would have been able to give you more quotes except that I had a tough time picking up 610 AM last night (and this is from THE WOODLANDS, 27 miles outside of Houston) for crying out loud!!
Mostly he just asked about how optimistic everyone was and I explained that we really had reason to be optimistic this year that it wasn't just hope springing eternal mainly because guys were back from injury and there was a lot of young talent on the team. He asked about the impact the board has on information and I described how since the draft so many well-informed Chinese posters have visited to give us the latest scoop on Yao and post pictures and translated stories from Chinese news sources. I mentioned how the wait for Yao was really pretty long and a lot of people were impatient so it was great when he finally got here. On the Jazz, he asked why I thought we (and he, apparently) hate them so much. Was it just Stockton/Malone? I said that the fact we had met in the playoffs was one thing and the fact that Clutch went to college in Utah and had to hear it from the Jazz fans there (I almost slipped the word Jazzholes into the conversation but I wasn't sure if I'd get beeped or not). I called Karl "Karla" and said they were #1 in Rocket hatred but the Spurs were a close second given the I10 rivalry. I also said that the Jazz talk tough but they flop all over the place and that annoys Rockets fans especially when they get the calls or whine when they don't get them. Finally, I told the story of the Steve Francis trade overheard on a cell phone at the mall and how that just demonstrated the power of having so many people post on the BBS. I said that I was really fortunate to be part of such a big community of fans. That was pretty much the whole of it.
Good Job Jeff!!! but next time you gotta end it with: And nothing at clutchcity.net would be the same without a guy who goes by the name of 3-8-1-4 .
Fantastic, Jeff. I couldn't hear it (since they don't broadcast on the Net... tha chumps), but your recaps are the next best thing. Hope they have you back on a regular basis.
